| I had to watch that whole video just because I read your comment. And yes, that poor puppy did the classic Yorkie vomit thing right at the end! He was probably sick at the fact that he had to sleep in that bassinet.

Yorkie Dams | Yorkie Mommies Yorkie Sires | Yorkie Dads She uses the term teacup about a hundred times, even though she says that it is not an AKC term. Intentionally breeding for small size, and charging 3+ times the price of a well bred pup from a reputable breeder is exactly the type of exploitation I would run away from. Does anyone see a copy of the health guarantee she includes? How do the mommas get in and out of the playpen, bassinet, and crib to tend to their babies?

| They don't... They're in the cages with their babies. Those are photo props used to fool people into thinking she truly has a nursery for her puppies. No one with common sense would put a dog and puppies in a bassinet 3 feet off the floor.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I agree. Did you see the bedding. It is immaculate. Sorry to say. Puppies chew, pee and poop. It would be washed worn. Also that bed. The puppies can get in between the rails. And in the back of the picture there is even a space where they can get through. They are just that props. She is marketing her pups. The pups are very expensive for a yorkie. I hope that people that google this will find out she is breeding for money not for the benefit of the breed. Sad

Many of them look far from standard like: serenity 600.jpg Serenity MARISOL 300.png and Marisol. They claim to have one champion, elyse 425.png Elyse. But I didn't see Elyse featured in the Moms/Dams section.

| You know I wondered about all the cute bassinets, etc. too. I see a lot of that stuff on some websites. I could never put puppies in something like that. They chew on everything when they are teething. Maybe I just have beavers but I have to watch the woodwork on my baseboards for chewing. Mine have plastic containers that you would store shoes in and a whelping pad under their blanket until they are at least 6 weeks old and can get out of it and start checking around for things to get into. I just love all the beautiful nurseries but after a week using a bed and washing several times they do already look faded. I am constantly buying or making beds for the ones who are out of the whelping container.

| I do absolutely agree that all the baby furniture seems just. plain. weird. And I, too, wondered how the mama pups get in and out? I also agree that typos and incorrect grammar are off-putting, but my husband is a terrible speller and he's actually pretty successful and 'mart, LOL! It's just not some people's strong suit. I wouldn't hire an English tutor for my daughter whose website had those issues, but a dog breeder? Eh, not a deal breaker for me. Please note: I have no affiliation with that breeder and I do not know her personally, but I did run across her website and I think her puppies' pictures are gorgeous. Since she is within driving distance from me, I contacted her. In the interest of fairness, here are my thoughts: She was very responsive and friendly, but not pushy at all. She invited and openly encouraged me to visit and meet her, the pups, and the parent dogs, see her home, see the nursery, etc. If she weren't 4 hours away I just might have! I called her vet's office and they gave her a fine recommendation. They said they knew her well and they would absolutely recommend her as a breeder. They told me she breeds Maltese, too (which I knew from the website). Yeah, the prices for the tinies does seem outrageous, but her other prices (for the bigger pups) seems within the ballpark of lots of other prices I have seen. But I'll be the first to admit, I am still in "kindergarten" as regards learning about Yorkies. I don't plan to get a pup from her, although baby "Tank" is one of the cutest puppies I have ever seen!!! Last edited by Tiskers; 07-30-2013 at 10:57 AM. |

| Before I purchased Barney, I searched the web looking for a puppy and ran across this site. Even BY (before yorkietalk) I knew that this place was creepy. The vomiting puppy was it for me. I remember thinking that if they took all that time to make the video, they should really have edited a little. However, I am glad that they didn't because it helped shmucks like me to stay away! Yes, the bedding is a little too neat. All of those beds and playpens and only two puppies??? Where are the other dogs? Is it just me or was the vomiting puppy the one that was just licking her lips? Maybe karma stepped in and gave her a bout of whatever her pups had.
