| Black crusty spots on head?? Lily has these weird black crusty spots on her head. I noticed them when I gave her a bath and her hair was wet so I could see her skin. I've noticed pieces of it flaking off every now and then but it doesn't seem like its bothering her at all. Does anyone know what this could be? I made an appt for her on Friday but I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this. thanks! |

| It may be a staff infection. Use good hygiene (wash your hands after handling her) until you know for sure what it is.

| Has she been scratching it? It could be a scab after scratching a mosquito bite. I'm really guessing and I would certainly affirm a visit to the vet to find out what it is for certain. Good luck!

| Cookie had them from flea bites, but as soon as we got her on comfortis she stopped scratching so badly and thus never opened up cuts that scabbed over.

| Megan had them, but they were from her allergies, hope it's an easy fix. Cheers Quad & Gina

| For some reason, my last post did not go on here.. it said it had to be evaluated and then they did not post it.. My yorkie is 5 yrs old and is developing those black crusty little spots on her back now with some raised bumps under the skin.. I used anti-biotic on them today |

| I have seen no fleas around or on her ever. The black spots are like loose tiny particles but they have become very numerous. I thought that Lilygirlland could tell me what the Vet told her |
