Jasper still doesn't like me combing or touching his face. Other than that, the knot head has no fear. Which causes me to be the one scared all of the time. :p |
Neither of mine are afraid of fireworks, gunshots or thunderstorms. However, Couver and Khloe hate going to the vet. They both shake like crazy and hunker down in my lap. They both run away from me when they know it's bath time. Couver hates it when we clap or dance and Khloe hates it when we get her brother riled up. She will run away and shake like she's afraid of him. |
Lily isn't really scared of anything except when she knows we are leaving she starts to uncontrollably shake and cry and also when my hubby raises his voice or gets angry with a video game he's playing she cowers and runs to me. He's never yelled at her in that tone so I'm not sure why it scares her! lol. Taka on the other hand is scared of life lol. He hates walks, cars, THE VET, other dogs, motorcycles, people...EVERYTHING! I don't know how to make him not scared. |
Nothing scares Momo, can't think of anything he's afraid of...he does bark, not sure if that's his way of showing fear? He'll bark @ bicycles & motorcycles like if he's possessed. The other 3 are so afraid of thunder & fireworks. Princess & Turbo doesn't like going to the vet & any loud noises. Even if I accidentally drop something, like a tape, Princess will go hide under my bed & Turbo will go inside his crate. Not sure if it's also bc I said sh*t bc the tape landed on my toe, but when I say that word, they retreat loll. |
Vitamins cause Cinders to run and hide from me. She knows the bottle they're in, and she hides every time I try to give them to her. |
Noise seems a fairly common denominator so far. |

Well thunderstorms and fireworks are pretty common, but there are also other some usual and un-usual noises too. I think that would be fairly common across all dog breeds. |
Im actually going through this scared faze with my 4 month old Yorkie Leila. She was never scared before...until I brought her to the vet to get her shots. Now she starts to shake when we go to the store or gets around large groups of people. On top of that she started growling at them. Pretty crazy. I bring her to work with me everyday and she is okay with everyone in the office. I'm trying to socialize her more so hopefully its just a faze and she will get over it. |

Any others here with fears? |
Barney: 1) We bought a somewhat gaudy pair of wooden birds on our vacation. We placed them on a bay window at our house and Barney discovered them this morning. He is terrified of them. He stands back and shakes and barks. I finally had to hide them. 2)He is also scared of me leaving the house. When I put my shoes on, he hides under the bed. 3) He is also scared of me being in the shower. He stands outside of it and shakes while I am in there. Anna: Anna is scared of the doorbell and of people coming in to our house. When she is out playing in the yard she is scared of anything that moves quickly, even grass if the wind is blowing. |

Pixie is like Max she hates sewer drains too! We have to avoid them or she will stop dead in her tracks. The girls hate it when we argue as well...Daisy will bark at us and Pixie will hide. Pixie also hates it if I get hurt she totally freaks out, when I popped my knee out of socket she ran and hid and was scared to death until I got home from the hospital. My Son was with the dogs and he said she was a nervous wreck:( |
Ian is really fearless, but, when he smells another dog on his daddy, he will hide under the bed. My bil and sil have a Weimaraner that Ian apparently doesn't care for, although they have never met. |
Sadie doesn't have a lot of fears really. She is however terrified of the vacuum and the steam mop. She sometimes runs from the shower and she barks at the washer. |
Keegan: smoke (even without smoke alarm sounds), loud noises, rolling trash or recyclable containers, strangers, darkness outside. Merry Piper: the vaccuum (even before it was ever turned on), loud noises, unfamiliar items on the floor (until she gets nerve enough to investigate), herself in the mirror |

1. When our yellow lab moves she runs 2. Her training bell 3. Loud Trucks 4. New surroundings/people I have only heard her bark twice since I got her and she is almost 6 months old. When she is scared she goes into her kennel or playpen. Those her her safe havens or on my chest. |
