| I took my Yorkie/Pom for a walk in the woods near Ketchikan AK. As we worked our way through the piled up brush at the edge of the big woods, Mr. Nieman spotted something I couldn't see. He charged ahead of me, barking. As he got out about 20 yards away, a sow Black bear took off. She went up a steep slope and then up a tree. Mr Nieman lost sight of her, and was using his nose to find a trail, when suddenly he rushed forward, barking, and a Cub not much bigger than Mr Nieman took off up that hill. Bawling for Mom. Mr Nieman couldn't catch that Cub either. Nature makes the Bear fearful of that Barking. And Mr Nieman to think he was 10 feet tall. |
