Donating YT 4000 Club Member | For all of the N. Georgia YTer's This was on th FB page for the Forsyth County Sherriff's department: FOX BITE CONFIRMED FOR RABIES On July 22, 2013 at 7:45 p.m., members of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Unit and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources responded to an area off Pilgrim Mill Road (Northeast Forsyth County) for a fox acting suspiciously. Interviews conducted by the deputies and officers of DNR identified that two individuals were bitten by the fox. The two individuals received medical treatment at Northside Forsyth Hospital and released. After searching the area, the fox was located and put down. Upon further testing, the fox tested positive for rabies. ------------------------------ Keep yourself and your pets safe.

| Thank you for the information, I'm in the south east part, but we have foxes and others, like bobcats. Thankfully Gina gets her rabies shot in 2 weeks, and goes outside on a lead with me. Again thanks. Cheers Quad

| Thanks! I'm not only N. Ga, but I am an ER nurse, so this info could be helpful all the way around as we get animal bites in the ED frequently (usually dog or cat, but occ wildlife).

| Thanks for the info, I had not heard this. Fulton County (which is adjacent to Forsyth) has very strict Rabies Laws. If you do not license your cat or dog an arrest warrent is issued and you have to appear in Superior Court.
