| He's hurt My Yorkie jumped off of a really high table. He became really stiff for about 3 to 4 minutes. I panicked & cried rushing to find a 24 hour vet in this little town. When i went back to him and my children he had started walking. He is not running like normal but he is walking. We rub him and he sometimes cries. Can anyone tell me why my baby became so stiff. I thought that he was dead... (Crying) please help us!! |

| You need to get him to an emergency vet and get him checked out immediately. Only the vet can say why he got all stiff, but i would not wait until morning. If there is no 24 hour vet, call yours and have the answering service call him. Many times vets will meet you at the office for emergencies. Hope all turns out well. Post update after you see the vet, please.

| He most likely has a spinal injury. You NEED to take him to a vet ASAP. IF he has a slipped disc in his back & it is not allowed to heal properly or put back in it can cause the vertebra to grow deformed & he can have life long back problems. I am dealing with this exact issue in a Doxie that I rescued a couple of yrs ago who was allowed to be kicked around by horses & put her discs out when she was a pup . Once their bones grow & the problem isn't addressed when their young & the injury first happens, not even surgery can fix it, now we make constant trips to the Chiropractor. Had she seen a vet or a Chiropractor when the injury 1st happened, she would not be in the shape she's in now. PLEASE take him to the Vet & possibly the Chiropractor. |

| Why was he on a "really high table" unattended? I pray that he'll be ok.

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Prayers for this little Yorkie. The vet needs to see him asap. Keep him quiet until you get there. He probably was in shock from that fall. I have to put pots on the dining room chairs so my JoJo won't jump up onto the table. I will do that to avoid an accident. My whole house is country anyway and with dogs it is hard to keep everything in its place. |

| This baby must see a vet immediately! If he has sustained a spinal cord injury, and his cord swells, cutting off blood supply and pinching nerves, he can end up paralyzed....and please block the access he had that enabled him to get on a really high table or anything else! These babies have NO fear and will fearlessly jump from any height, breaking, legs, backs, necks, etc. Prayers going out for this baby, with his unfortunate injury. |

| Had almost the same thing happen with my boy. Get him to the vet asap my boy ruptured a disc in his back. it can be treated and have a good outcome but the sooner he gets treatment the better. I would start with keeping him as quiet as possible put a kool compress on his spine and find a vet! Please let us know how the baby is doing as he is now part of our family and we all will worry. Good luck ***sending kisses for baby. *** |
