| New here & a question about 'blues' Hiii! I'm Rach, and I have two yorkies here at home, we have Mitzi who is 2 and a little princess and Max who is 12 weeks old and a little monkey. Also have a border collie who adores the two yorkies! We took Max out after his vaccines and dad got stopped by an ex-yorkshire terrier breeder who bred 'blue black and tan' yorkies, and told us Max was one, his skin is a blue colour all over him, and Mitzi is a grey skin colour.. We told were by different people that there is no such thing as a blue black pup but we've been told by KC that there is. He has no white, ginger or anything on him like Mitzi, just tan and black and blue with a blue skin.. If it was his veins showing, they wouldn't be evvvverywhere on his skin surely? Even on his private parts the skin is blue.. Max's hair is all short and fluffy and really wooly feeling, where as Mitzi had short and fine hair at his age... Any help would be appreciated. Many Thanks Rach |

| Hi, Reach..nice to meet you and your pups I don't had an answer for you but we have many breeders here who can help. I am sure one will be along and offer some answers for you. Do you have some pics you could post for us to see the coloring you are talking about?

| Can you post a picture? Do you mean his coat is both blue and black color or where it is changing or his skin color? |

| I'll get some photos of it and post that when he's awake, he's just snoozed it out for his nap, lazy burger! His skin is blue, he has blackish fur, which shines a blue in the sunlight, but his actual skin is blue..? |

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=129177 Just realised I have this, is a week old now,but his current colours.. Just waaaay more fluffier now. Still no white or anything in him.. Where as Mitzi at this age, (11 weeks old) was: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=129178 She had white on her, and ginger and silver running through... The white thing on her is a bow, a white one with little diamonds on, phone didn't pick it up too good!! |

| Hi, his coloring looks normal to me. Just looks like he will be black and tan. Mitzi looks blue and gold to me. (blue in the Yorkie world meaning "steel gray") He may have a cotton coat as opposed to a silky coat, though. Does his coat feel like Mitzi's or does it feel thicker and more cottony? Edit to add: He's still really young so you really won't be able to tell if he'll be cotton or silky yet. He's still got that fluffy puppy coat. Nevermind about my previous questions lol
