I pick up my puppy Sunday :)
 
I am so excited. Last night I assembled my puppy apartment at my boyfriends house, and got things ready. My mom is driving down tomorrow, I will do her hair tomorrow (I am a hair stylist) then Sunday AM we drive to get the baby:) I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I hope that Teddy is going to be happy to have a friend, and I hope that I remember how to train a puppy. I have been reading and reading...

My favorite names right now are:

Baby
Lola
and Bunny rabbit. I would probably call her Bunny for short. Which names do you like best?

One more question...I have a water bottle on the side of her kennel. Will she just figure out how to use it?

I'm so excited for you! I haven't ever used the side water bottles, but I'm sure she will figure it out. I would give her a bowl of water too just in case.

Make sure to post pictures when she comes home :D

Thank you Courtney, I can't wait to take pictures, and to see the dogs make friends (even is it might be a while) I am stocked up on natures miracle too! Your picture of Miley on cleaning duty made me laugh. That will be me on Sunday!

How exciting!! I would think she would figure it out but I would put a bowl incase. Dont want her getting dehydrated. I love the name Lola! I am sure Teddy will love her.

Hahaha thank you! I remember how excited I was when I got Miley! Now I just live through everyone else who gets new puppies because its such a happy feeling :) btw I really like the name Lola!

Thank you so much:) I will definitely leave out a bowl too, so many changes for the little one, I will ease her into the bottle. Did it take a long time for your dogs to become friends? I will post many pictures.

I'm glad you guys suggested a bowl of water! I htink in my excitement my brain is misfiring. I talked to my mom today and she was laughing. She told me that I am acting like it's Christmas Eve and I'm 10 years old instead of 37. I think she's just as excited. I like Lola too, Lola and Teddy sound good together:)

Mine gets so lonely :(.. I dont know anyone in my area that has a Yorkie/small dog. BTW Teddy is the cutest little boy :D

The big is finally here! Congratulations! I like all 3 names and they go with Teddy. Bunny was on my list before I knew that I was going to have a boy.

We'll be crossing fingers and paws for you that Teddy likes his new baby sister. My Max has an "only child" personality, but he still loves his baby brother and appreciates his company.

Looking forward to the homecoming pics. Enjoy!

I can see how excited you are! :) Don't forget, having a puppy is like having a toddler around. They try to get into everything. I hope Teddy and your new puppy will get along great. I like all of the names. After you watch her for awhile, that may help you decide on her name. Can't wait to see pictures of her and Teddy.

I can't believe the day is almost here Kristin! It seemed like it was sooooo far away when I went to visit her. I'm glad the dogs figure out the water bottles. I was wondering how on earth I would teach them!

I have a long lead to keep her on if she is outside of her exercise pen. I used one when I was house training Teddy just so I would be more aware when he was circling to go to the bathroom. Hopefully it will be helpful:)

Since I am a huge Dirty Dancing fan, I pick "Baby" for her name. However, you may be like me. I had this long list of names. Didn't even think about any of them. One look and he was Jasper. I had seen a Youtube video that day of a cute little baby skunk. His name was Jasper. My little boy is named after a skunk. :eek::p I do call him my little stinker though. Hmmmm... :p:D

The puppy apartment did wonders for Trinket. After about a week of her using the pad, we hooked it to the play pen, then graduated to just the play pen in the day and her puppy apartment at night. Now that she is one, I took the wall out of the apt. Gives her more room. During the day she runs the house, but I put her pad in the exact place it was in the pen. Only bad thing, when I have her out, she wants back in to use the pad lol.

One more question...I have a water bottle on the side of her kennel. Will she just figure out how to use it?
Put some on your finger and put it to her lips, She will learn. I use those too.

Today is the big day, how exciting! Congrats on your new puppy, wishing her and Teddy happy, healthy lives. btw Teddy is so cute! Can't wait to see pics of the new baby:)

I like the name Bunny. Be very careful when you have her outside on a long leash if you have hawks or eagles in your area they can grab them in a instant

Hi. I am also getting a new "fur baby" soon, I have Riley who is nine months and soon will have a little sister for him :) I choose the name Lola, it's such a pretty name xx
