Yorkie Talker | Collapsed trachea! My mr Boodles has been diagnosed and is on medication but welcome any suggestions on how to help him. I don't mind that he sounds like a duck, but it seems it bothers him when he tries to sleep at night. |

| One of my little ones had a severe case of collapsing trachea from the time she was little. When she would get very excited, her trachea would start to close, her temperature would rise, and that made the breathing become critical. I would submerge her in cool water to get her temperature down. It always worked, and then her breathing would return to normal. Gracie lived life fully, at full speed ahead, and she never let it stop her. Her sister Ashley developed trachea issues as she got older but it wasn't as serious. It caused her to have an enlarged heart, and she would get too much air into her belly that caused gas pockets. She lived a month shy of seventeen, even with all f this. Ashley walked at least a couple miles a day up until a few days before she passed away. I carried Gracie a lot of the way when we walked, and I always took blocks of ice along wherever we went in case I needed to get her temperature down. I wish you much health and love with your baby, and if I can help, don't hesitate to ask.

| I forgot to mention that once, when Ashley had a bad throat irritation, she coughed for quite a while. We were unable to break the cycle, no mater what the other vets at my vet's practice tried. Once he came back from China, he gave her hydrocodone which worked beautifully.

| Callie has very mild CT but my moms yorkie has a a little worse CT and had to go on medicine for it. The vet said keep them cool and don't exercise them when its really hot and try to keep them from getting stressed. Also the medicine my moms yorkie is on should not be mixed with benadryl.

Yorkie Talker | Wow thanks soon much for the response! I did figure out when we fly that he constantly needs to be cooled off. And when he gets too hot now I pour water on him. We did have the hydrocodone but it freaked him out. Funny, everyone else in the family takes it . He's doing much better today thank god. He's only 5. I can't imagine life without him. We rescued him from a puppy mill when he was just under a year and he now only weighs 3.5 lbs. we always had labs but yorkies are the only way to go, even my husband has fallen head over heels for him. |

| After two years without a Yorkie, Katie joined our family. She has been with us since May 2012, and we completely adore her. Thanks for caring about the loss of my little ones at the Rainbow Bridge. I will always love and miss them. My vet practices Eastern and Western Medicine. They did a piece on him on the Today Show, and they called him the Miracle Vet. On Ashley, he used Chinese herbs for her trachea, and they helped her. Most of the time he used western medicine on my girls because they were difficult to pill. People come great distances to see him, especially since many vets sent their patients to him as a last resort. Over the span of fifteen years, I met so many pets who were helped and cured by him. I am a believers of herbs now, but I was skeptical in the beginning. They helped Ashley's symptoms a lot. He was just devising them when Gracie's trachea worsened, and I'm not sure that they would have worked because of the severity of her attacks. She had them every day, sometimes more than once, but I learned how to help her when they occurred. If you find yourself in a position where other meds aren't working effectively, he does consults with other vets. I hope you find the right medicine to help your little boy.

| Urgent Help Needed Hi Lisa Can u please give me the name of your miracle vet. My 4 year old just diagnosed with CT. If anyone else is reading I would like to know the following: 1.whats specific medications did your dog take and were they successful? 2. How long did your dog end up living? |
