| Not sleeping through the night/potty... My pups are 5 months old; they wake (me) up one to two times in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. When I put them on the potty pad, they go right away, and then go right back to bed. Although I am happy they let me know that they have to go, I am wondering if this is something they will and can grow out of. Any tips or advice for getting them to sleep through the night/getting on a better schedule? Thanks! |

Hi there. Well the thing is they are still babies, which little bladders. Where do you have them sleep? Can you set them up with a pad so they can go to the pad at night?

| Let me say this. We have 5 small dogs aging from 10 months to 3 years old. All I can say is some will outgrow going potty in the middle of the night others wake up a couple of times in the night to potty. I kind of think that it depends on the dog and his or her bladder. You could try to ignore them and see if they go back to sleep but that sometimes doesn't work and you may find puddles. Our dogs are outdoor potty trained and wont go on the potty pad at all so when they have to go out, you have to let them out. |

| They are still very young and there bladders are so tiny so this is very normal. Callie woke me up until almost a year old at 6am every morning to go potty but she would not go back to sleep. Having a puppy is like having a new baby lots of work. Would they go to the puppy pad on there own?
