We are not affililated with Yorkie 911, but we can certainly look into having Yorkie 911 there as well. We are all about fun, and getting the largest group of Yorkies together as possible!! We hope you can come!

We are so excited that so many of you have already registered - thank you! We only ask that people register so that we know how many people and Yorkies to expect and we have enough space and Yorkie goodies for all. To make this event a true success, please tell all of your friends who also have Yorkies to come - have them check out the website and register as well. We are really looking forward to a fun time with all the Yorkies on September 14!

I have the one that Yasmine posted a picture of in that thread, I wheel around both Lola and my sister's yorkie with no problem. But it is definitely not one to use on a lot of unpaved ground, like if you were hiking.

I got this email yesterday:

Hi Yorkie lovers!

We are very excited to let you know that Yorkie Day is taking place this Saturday! Woohoo! So far, we have over 125 yorkies registered to attend this amazing event! We hope you are as excited as we are for all of our yorkies to get together, play, and get to know each other!

Because we have so many yorkies, we thought it would be great to have them all run around and play together. The location for Yorkie Day will thus be at Stuyvesant Park Dog Run from 2pm until 4pm. It is located in Manhattan, on 2nd Avenue, between 15th and 17th Streets. The dog park entrance is located on 15th between 1st and 2nd Avenues, but much closer to 2nd Avenue. It is a very large dog park, and we will be getting there earlier to set up and claim a section of the back of the dog run for all the yorkies to gather. Look for Yorkie Day signs - and yorkies of course!

By public transportation, you can take the 4, 5, 6 to Union Square, or the L to 3rd or 1st Avenues.

As you may recall from previous emails, we have some exciting guests to welcome at Yorkie Day. We have another surprise guest to reveal now! Schmitty the Weather Dog with Meteorologist Ron Trotta will be appearing and doing a "pawcast" from Yorkie Day! Schmitty has appeared with Oprah, and been featured on The Regis & Kelly Show, The Ellen Show, and Access Hollywood! We are so excited to have such a famous yorkie join us on Saturday! We also have Rick Caran's Jilli Dog Show performing at our event! Mr. Caran has trained yorkies for many years and will be bringing his "next-generation Jilli Dog" named Ruby to show off her fabulous tricks for us! In particular, Mr. Caran has successfully trained his yorkies to become the world's only poker-playing dogs! We are very excited to see Ruby perform her show, and to hear any training tips Mr. Caran has to share with us!
