| Couple of questions... I just required a young male yorkie from a friend that is a pet lover with two beautiful girls and a baby on the way. She decided she couldn't give him the attention with school starting back up and her going back to work, so she asked if I would take him. I immediately said yes without thinking. LOL He's 6 months old, somewhat house broke. Would like to know the best way to completely housebreak him. He is still full male. LOL If I remember correctly he needs to be around 8 to 9 months old. Or can I have him neutered now? It looks as though he's dropped. Also what is the standard price of a stud fee? And does breeding the boys start bad habits that we want to avoid? Thank you for your time and I'm so glad I'm back on here. |

Yes an unneutered dog has its issues, marking being a huge one, this will not go away after he is neutered just like that...humping, dominating etc...there are more but the real issue is why would you want to stud him out and to who? Stop that garbley nonsense, you know better old friend.

| Housebreaking, if he is almost there the key would be to stay with it..consistent routines are best...if you can devote a good week or 2 keep him by your side until he has it down pat.

| No problem about getting him fixed. It all crossed my mind. For thirty years I've had female dogs. LOL I almost feel like a newby with this little boy. He's so cute. Bella is doing real good with him so far, but she still trys to let him know who is boss. I realize that needs to happen, I step in when it seems to extreme. I'm glad that I was thought of with my friend. She brought him to my house with her daughter and when they got ready to leave the three of us were hugging and crying. Her daughter just broke my heart, but I tried to comfort her the best I could. She's 7 years old. Nuetered and shots will be put on the calendar. LOL Gotta do it right. Thanks. |

| He hasn't eaten to much since he's been with us. I've given him treats like I do Bella when we go out and potty. I finally seen him drinking a little bit of water last night. I know it's the changes he's been given. We've tried to hand feed, he'll take the food and spit it out. LOL So typical. |
