| Poor Biscuit Last Friday we took Biscuit to the vet to have him neutered. We got a call to pick him up because they couldn't neuter him because of an increase liver enzyme value. Now he's on medication for the next three weeks and then we have to bring him back to be tested again. This is the same problem we had with Oliver. Who would have ever imagined that we would have the same problem with two dogs. |

| Sometimes a repeat test can show normal levels I've heard. And in lieu of symptoms, maybe this is just a fluke. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of it if there is a liver problem or something else going on. Hope you can get to the bottom of it.

| Praying the meds help everything. This is a very good testimony as to why everyone needs to get the pre-op blood work done.

| Thanks for all of your get well wishes. Biscuit shows no sign of any liver problem as of now. We are taking him back in two weeks for another test. However in Oliver's case his liver keeps flaring up so we know that it's not a fluke. Still can't get him neutered because of his problems. He's gone through so much in the last year we don't want to put him through any more stress right now so as important as neutering is we want to hold off a bit. |

Has Oliver had expanded tests down yet? BATS, ultrasound and or scintography? If not that is something you may want to consider. I am so sorry you seem to be also going through this with another young dog you own.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Also it would seem that neutering is not that important given the other medical conditions that seem to be present. So not to worry about neutering until your two dogs have an overall good health picture.

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Why do I have a hard time trusting? I guess I would try another vet just to see if I get the same results. Sounds like this one is reputable, but wow 2 Yorkies with the same diagnosis. At least they are being cautious before they neuter a dog. I am glad for that approach. |
