| Forum newbie, 15 yera Yorkie Veteran Hi, I have been reading many posts, and have posted on a few. It's time to introduce myself, my name is Chris, and as the title says I had a Yorkie, Megan, for 15 years, she died on May 28th, dementia and renal failure. Megan was a blue baby, not in coloring, but the heart condition. She wasn't supposed to live past her 1st year, but defied the Vets, and had a very good long life. On July 4th, I picked up my newest edition to the family, Gina is a beautiful blue and gold Yorkie. I am a disabled Navy Veteran, I've been married for 22 years and have 2 sons, one who just graduated Army boot camp on July 2nd. I hope to make some new friend here, and I have found this to be a very useful site. Thank you to all who love Yorkies, enough to make this a great site. Cheers Quad |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I am so sorry for your loss but I am glad you have a new precious baby to lighten your life. We will be looking forward to seeing pictures of your new baby and of the the girl you lost if possible. Last year I lost my first yorkie. She was 16 years old so I know the pain you are feeling from losing your precious baby.

| Thanks to all of you. That is Gina, from the day we got her home, it's one of the pics I took to show my son in the Army. I didn't tell him about Megan until I saw him at his graduation. The transition was a little rough for Gina, but she is doing fine now. I will post some pics of Megan after I go through them, and will add more of Gina as she grows. They certainly make life much richer, and fun. I love these little rascals, they worm their way into your hearts in a heart beat(pun intended). Cheers Quad |

| Just awesome when you can beat what the docs say like you and Megan did. My aunt just did the same thing this week. I know it's so hard to lose your little furbutt, even when they have lived a long and fulfilling life; my girl Minnie died of kidney failure and the resulting seizures on May 20th, and burying her was about the most bitter thing I have ever had to do. Even carrying my best friend's casket at age 14 wasn't as tough (he got killed by a coked-up driver). I'm so glad you have found another loving yorkie, Chris. I got my pup on July 3rd, and I'm so excited to have her, as I know you must be with Gina.
