I've seen the site before and I had researched the brands you suggest in the past and they too have had complaints that were reported to the EPA.

Wish fleas didn't exsist so we didn't have to use these products at all!! Insecticides stink!!

Yes all products have their naysayers...risks, hazards etc...but Hartz has caused many a problem over the years. Their products are not designed for little dogs but for all dogs. Their chemicals are stronger etc...

Our little pups need to be vetted and prescribed meds especially for them....using Hartz is risky. I for one would NEVER use something like this to rub on an open wound on my little Yorkies body.

I used the hotspot med on Mini when I thought she had a hotspot and my Vet freaked the hell out on me for doing so. It made her spot worse and she specifically said don't use any chemicals on Mini unless I say so. Good enough for me.

Additionally, my mother put a flea collar from Hartz on her rather small full grown cat. I can't even tell you the grotesque sight 3 days later around that cats neck, to this day I will never forget it.

I just wouldn't use something like this on Yorkies or any small dogs, actually I wouldn't use Hartz for anything.

With all due respect Lovetodream88, it's silly to single out one specific manufacturer when a simple internet search will show that many leading manufacturers have plenty of complaints against their products. At the end of the day these are harsh chemicals being put on our loving animals and there is a chance that there may be an adverse reaction no matter who the manufacturer.

I would like to point out that when I did work for them, the majority of complaints I received were due to misuse of the product. Unfortunately most people did not read/follow the directions as outlined on the packaging.

We have video surveillance at our house and they can be watched from computer or smart phones.

We have them at our office as well (although the dogs are never at the office without us-I can't get them to work!!)

Since when is difference of opinion, or a warning about potential dangers regarding products "kind of attacking"?

Hartz is well above and beyond any other product on the market as far as complaints and you can read the labels all you want but a product that is made for both a Great Dane and a Yorkie is not something I would use, and I hope that you would consult with your vet before doing so too.

Additionally if your pup is starting with allergies you should go directly to an allergist/dermatologist. Many of us here have had major issues with food, meds, etc...regarding our pups. My Mini receives Varl injections every 2 weeks. I changed food atleast 20 times, food was not her trigger.

107Barney gave me some great advice a couple years ago and I took it...I went to a Board Certified dermatologist/allergist.... I so wish I had gotten the advice sooner...I could have saved thousands of dollars. Every pup is different and every environment is different, your pup is unique and special.
