What good news!! I know you are so relieved and will be glad to have your baby home tonight. Prayers for continued healing. |
Great news!! |
SO happy to hear that Martini did so well with her procedure! I know you are one relieved mommy! We had a dachshund who had an allergic reaction to her rabies shot. Then stupid me forgot one year and she had another one and immediately starting getting sick! Thankfully the vet administered the antidote and she was fine! She marked her chart to NEVER give her another rabies shot because each reaction gets worse each time! So I would advise the same for little Martini! No rabies shots! ;) |
Prayers for her, you and that all will be well. |

This is good info, but only applies after the first years puppy vaccines. All puppies need to get their first year vaccines and the first year boosters to initially establish immunity, then titers can be done to check the level of immunity. So glad Martini did well today. |
That's exactly what I was going to say...2 great minds think alike. Still good information, nice to know. Relieved to hear your little one is doing better...you will feel so much better, once you get her home and in your arms again. Hugs!!! |
Great news, hoping she has a quick recovery time and no setbacks ! |
Oh my goodness...what a roller coaster you have been on with Martini. I'm so relieved to read she is going to be alright. Prayers lifted for a fast recovery! |
I am very happy and relieved for you that Martini is doing well and that she is home with you tonight. Wishing you all a peaceful night. |
Im so sorry |
My old dog (she was a yorkie :) ) at a couple months old had an allergic reaction after she had a couple vaccines at the same time. So after that, when she got vaccinated they would pre medicate her with benedryl and only give one vaccine at a time. Maybe you could ask them to do this for you? Wishing your dog well!! |
dog Praying for sweet little Martini to be well. I know in my heart you are doing all you can and you love this little dog so rest assured she is going to get better. Now you know and so do a lot of people on this thread that too many vaccines in these little breeds is not good. You followed your heart and that is all you can do. |
Update: Thank you all so much, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the prayers and kind thoughts. When I saw Martini Tuesday nigh I broke down all over again, she has 2 stiches and what I can only describe at the time as a gaping hole. She was still bleeding from it and it was just so terrible. The vet had prepared me for it on the phone and so did my fiancé when he saw her but it didn't register. He brought her by my job to see me on the way home and even through her ordeal all she wanted to do was kiss my entire face and wag her tail. When I got home later that night I was shocked because I was greeted by my little nugget running toward the door. It's amazing you would never know she had this surgery if u down see the huge shaved spot (which makes me even more upset) and the hole in her. She was been running jumping eatting like a pig and vein her little fiesty self. She does get tired more frequently an naps a little more which is expected but overall I am so grateful she is doing so amazing. She is such a good girl and let's her daddy hold her while I have to gently clean her hole with sterile gauze and water. Itsalready looking much better. The vet said she is done with vaccinations. She has had her 5 ways and parvo and we don't need to give her anything else she is protected. We also agreed to wait until she is 6/7 months for her rabies. Thank you all so much , i am so relived my baby is ok! |
So glad that she is ok. :) I just read the whole story. Bless your heart I know how worried you had to be. |
Happy to hear Martini is doing well after her ordeal, I pray for a quick and full recovery!!! |
