Please....hold off on vaccinations now especially, for awhile. Let this baby get over this before you start pumping in more...and I would get real familiar with Dr.Dodd'sprotocol and go by that.....

Just seen this and SO relieved your beautiful baby is going to be ok (((BIG HUGS)))

I'll certainly query my pup's vaccinations when she gets them.....tho' here in the UK we don't have the rabies shot.

Good post! My vet waited until mine were 6 months to give the rabies. All other shots were given one by one with a 2 to 3 week interval.

I will pray for little Martini. I wish the vets would realize the risk it takes on a little dog to give these Rabies shots. I realize it is law but it is the life of the dog too. They should wait until the pup is very strong and able to handle the stuff. I do pray your little one will get through this. You did what your heart said to do so do not feel bad. Prayer is powerful and with all of us together we will pray your little precious puppy back to health!

I agree with the rest with spacing her shots out. She's already had a reaction so the vet should do this for you. In case they don't, you tell them that's how it will be done. And I agree with waiting before she gets the next shots. Let her heal. Glad she's ok, give her tons of love with those carrots!

I am glad to hear Martini is feeling. Buster too had a reaction to his puppy vaccine so I waited until he was 6 months before he got his rabies vaccine. I now space out all vaccines and do Titers. Best wishes to you, I know you will be relieved when sweet Martini is home with you. Lots of kisses and belly rubs!

Oh my God, I'm so happy for you and your pup! This was scary to read in the beginning and it's so awesome to see things are going well now.

Oh wow, do they love carrots! Maybe the only thing I know yorkies to like more is chicken.

Just read this, so sorry you and Martini had to go through this. Bless her heart. Its so good to read she is doing well and you can pick her up and bring her home to love on.:)

Glad to hear Martini is doing better now.

I, too, have never heard of a 9way shot.

So many vets are clueless and not up to date on current vaccine protocols. Is the vet practice where Martini is seen a AAHA accredited clinic/hospital?

Isn't that the greatest feeling in the world when your dog is ok after a health scare? Definitely give Martini a hug from all of us!
