I bought the fabric at Hobby Lobby. It was scrap I had left over from a purse i made and now he matches me!
The bottom is black canvas and some kind of plastic? netting. I used interfacing to strengthen it and put small wooden dowels across the top part so it wouldn't collapse when I put him in it. It was fun.....I think, lol

IMO I would put a tether. The pup make jum when you don't expected it and it could be to high for them. It couldn't hurt. That part would be easy to sew on

Just so ya know.....I put a tether in from an old car carrier and now it attaches on both sides! I can't wait to take him out in it later today

You did a really good job. It looks professional.

I love The Fundle carrier. It is the most comfortable of all the carriers I have for Gracie. She lays right down in it. It doesn't put as much pressure on my shoulder as the other bags I have do. I do have arthritis in both shoulders so it an important feature for me.

Gracie is totally unseen when I zip the cover over the top of the bag and she has plenty of room so she is not squashed down. It's really nice for when we go to various fairs and events during the summer. When she gets tired of walking or if we are some place where the ground is hot, up she goes into the bag and is safe and comfortable.

I hope your guy enjoys it as much as Gracie does. I don't sew so the money was well spent for us. The comfort is really important to both of us.
