| Hi & welcome to YT! I'm sure you'll LOVE it here. If you're not familiar with Yorkies yet, just be sure to learn all you can about them----not only on this website but with a good book on Yorkies' problems, habits, food, potty training, etc. I had never owned a Yorkie before adopting my darling 3 yo baby boy, Milo, in March. My only other small dog was my precious Mini-Schnauzer, Star. I lost her last Sept at the age of 13. R.I.P. Star. There is a lot to learn about them, but sooo worth it. In particular, I did not know about their susceptibility to collapsed trachea---don't put a collar on your baby or if you do, don't apply pressure to his neck. Use a halter. I know there are lots of other things, but that one always jumps into my mind first. My DH accuses me of being a Mother Hen. |
