okay you keep saying that BUT the fact still remains that on their website it DOES state 4(or 5)-7lbs.

I have heard show people say they will not bring a dog into the ring that has more than 2 or 3 faults. All dogs, even champions, have faults when compared to the breed standard. You can even bring a Yorkie into the ring that is larger than 7 lbs, and if they are not too much over and they are otherwise a great example compared to the standard, they could potentially be championed.
wait so the purpose of shows is to find a dog to breed with?

yes and I too would be very skeptical about breeders who breed 2-3lb litters and I think thats the main piece people were missing. I've learned since being here that in order to mainly obtain such a litter you need a dam who is not physically capable of caring a "standard sized" litter.

Its says both but in the end the YTCA is what matters with the breed standard write the AKC is its such a big deal to you.

No but when a dog becomes a champion you want to breed them so they can pass on there traits and genes to there pups so maybe one day there pups can be champions and so on.

I NOW know that what's on the AKC website is not true therefore I don't care to write them but what i'm saying is don't be so quick to get angry if people come on here saying that the standard is 4-7lbs because that IS what's on the AKC website and they might not have seen YTCA. I didn't even know about YTCA until here.

Haven't seen anyone angry about what breed standard says for size, nor angry about wanting a pup to fall within that size...

Any there's not much we can do about that except I guess email them but it could just be a simple over sight.
