Britster | 06-21-2013 02:29 PM | Honestly, when people in normal life say 'teacup' it doesn't really bother me anymore. It's just something that people are using to describe a smaller sized dog and they just simply don't know. And typically it's not worth explaining.
And I have NEVER heard the word 'teapot' used in real life. It's a TOTAL joke lol. And to be honest, I've seen people state on here "oh your dog is a teapot" in a serious post and that kind of annoys me too because new people that come on here will probably think it's a real thing, haha. I would never say to someone who asks 'oh, he's a teapot yorkie'. hahaha.
I get the size thing to a point. I personally will never own a dog under 10-12lbs. It's just not my thing. But I understand some love having these tiny dogs. To me it's just a matter of safety. If you are seeking out a dog that grows no bigger than 3lbs, honestly just get a guinea pig. |
