| We walk about 1/2 a mile a day. Mines smaller than yours, but she does well at it till we get to this 1 tree... she won't leave that tree unless I pick her up! Welcome to YT!

| Yes, they do! Most times when I don't want her to do something, she starts being cute!

| Peanut is 6 y and 4 pounds and he can walk about 30-40 mins- if it is cool outside, if it is hot forget about it, he will walk maybe 15 mins and then put his breaks on and want me to carry him.

| Each dog is different so you kind of have to base your information on them. Peanut is more lazy than active. He would like to walk around and then lay in the sun for the rest of his time LOL however we have a member here Britt and Jackson and that dog is super active- so just feel them out.. see what is a happy medium for you and for them.

| Hi and welcome to YT! So happy you decided to join us!! I would suggest you try walking your pup twice a day starting about 30 minutes. You can go longer when you know he's handling the 30 minutes easily. Walk early in the morning cause when they wake up, just like us, they gotta go! Then in the evening before bedtime. This way, your pup will be ready for a good night's sleep. Because he's all grown up, if he can handle more than 30 minutes go ahead and walk him till he refuses to go further. He will let you know. Walking is great exercise for our pups! Good luck and have fun. Also, let us know how it's going and be sure to post picts. We all love to look at the pups!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I walk mine for about 15 minutes and then I put them in the stroller. Then I'll give them a break and put them back out for 10 minutes. Cali is 8 and has grade 4 LP in both knees so when she gets tired she'll come up to the stroller to get a ride.

| Every dog is different. Roxy my 4 pound firecracker is Buddy the 95 Goldens outdoor playmate and hiking buddy. She keeps up with him mile for mile. 5 miles almost daily for walks- Almost daily only because I don't want to walk 5 miles everyday. She doesn't have an off button. Lucy is done walking after 10-15 minutes and wants to be picked up and put in her stroller. Cozy will walk but after 4 miles she starts giving the stink eye & then jumps into the stroller. FYI Cozy and Lucy are my Porkie yorkies!! So they must go for walks even though they hate me and the walks!

| Yeah honestly your dog will let you know. No need to limit them if they are fine. My friends 4lb and 6lb yorkies easily go 4+ miles. Jackson can walk 4-7 miles no problem, however in the heat he hates to walk. If there is no water to cool down in, he is miserable so we don't walk much in the summer (just swim, etc). We definitely walk more in the fall and winter, and early spring.
