| Not to be gross- but my dog erection is soo gross what the heck is this about? Hi All, I had to ask and see if anyone has experienced this. My yorky Rudy is 2 yrs old he is neutered he sometimes licks himself you know as they all do but today i go and check him out and his pish was soooo huge i never saw it like that sticking out. I had to put him in another room because my kids would have been scared to death. What the heck, has anyone seen this in their dogs. I mean he has had them before but not that big. It was like he looked at me like something was wrong tooo or he was uncomfortable. Any comments feedback Thanks DEE |

| You have to make sure that goes down and does not get "stuck" in the out position....it will dry out, he wont be able to retract it and you/he will have MAJOR problems....There must be a reason he is paying attention to this extent....you should have him seen by a vet to get some answers as to what is causing this.... |

| Huey did that this morning. Raccoon is now put away for at least a week. I mean, full lipstick as well as the glands below... he kept licking and was walking funny..I had to look. OMG...raccoon is gone! !!!! Nasty little creature.

| It's happened to me before. Just petting the dog, and I look down and ack! Then I run away.

| That happened to my Jake once, a few years ago. (He's now 15.) I had seen his "red rocket" many times, but never the whole song and dance. At first I panicked and that his intestines were coming out. I almost phoned the vet. Went to get the cell phone and when I got back it was retracted. Thank god. I did 'fess up to the vet later and she busted out laughing. |

| Yes, especially when I admitted that I thought his guts were "attached" and coming out. #embarrassed I've never seen it since. I think poor Jake was so mortified by Mommy's reaction that he figured it was just easier not to get that excited. |

| It can happen - even in neutered males. There may be another reason why he's licking though and that might be causing the protrusion. If it happens again or he's licking down there, I'd have the vet check him out. Good luck. Tracey |

| Definitely make sure it can go back down and in, though. Seriously. There is another member who has been dealing with it getting stuck very recently. AllDogBoots is her screen name. Search threads with "Lipstick" in the titles. As long as it is going back down and in by itself, though...I wouldn't worry.
