| ![]() I found a tick on Monty yesterday, apparently they are very bad this year (at least in my part of the world). I have heard several reports that parts of the USA and Canada are going to be hit hard by these nasty little blood suckers so would like to make sure that everyone is aware of this. Monty will be going this afternoon to the vet for his seasonal treatment of fleas, ticks and heartworm prevention! This is definitely one thing I truly miss about my time spent in the UK, where heartworm is so rare that treatments are just starting to be more common there. |

| ![]() Very true. I am fortunate that Bentley's treatments are working like a charm. Me however I have had 2 tick bites in less than a month's time.

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() Ticks are always worse when it is very wet and cool. The heat and dry weather kills ticks, so as summer draws near, hopefully the tick invasion will subside! Mine are treated with Frontline Plus and we have not found one, yet! ![]()

| ![]() I am hoping to try Triflexis on Monty. Has anyone had any reports on whether it is good or bad? I just like the fact that it will treat heartworm (about 30 cases already in my town of 10,000), fleas and ticks but would love if anyone has any experience with this product to hear their thoughts. |

| ![]() I never see ticks or mosquitoes. I stay out of wooded areas though. I was watching a show on how to get a tick off just yesterday. You take a tweezer and grab the tick right behind his head and very slowly pull it out. They were talking about all the diseases ticks and mosquitoes carry, so you guys that have been bitten, please keep an eye on the area and if it gets worse, then see a doctor fast.
