The only time we have had a problem with Toto rubbing her butt on the carpet ... a groomer had used an electric clipper to shave her little butt and it itched. She has never had worms ... just irritation. We clip her with scissors only and that has solved that problem. Hope Scooby will be OK. Please let us know how he is doing?

| I have several small furbabies and my vet and groomer both have said that when they scoot it usually means that there anal glands need to be squeezed then they scoot no more... Sorry about the quack vet I have had one of those with a mobile vet I almost lost my huskie to him needless to say I filed a complaint with the Texas Board of Vets and he no longer practices!!!!!

I was thinking someone like that needed to be in a closet themselves...I didn't think about all those things, quite appropriate. I know I am obsessed with my dogs, glad to see my reaction was appropriate also! | |

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I can't believe a vet would say put a dog in a closet - that would turn any well adjusted dog into a fearful mistrusting sad little baby... and you'd end up with more biting problems - that is a shame a vet would ever say that to a patient - it sure makes you wonder where he went to vet school and how does he handle other patients ? That's one of the worst things I think I've read as far as vet advise.....A vet should love animals not abuse them. |
