| Pick up/Drop off times- If they require overnight stay will someone actually be there! After care instructions Laser type vs. Traditional spay Pre-anesthetic blood work - and ask to call you if anything is off at all IV Fluids What will they use for pain management- Injection, pills. What kind of anesthesia and pre do they use? You they use external sutures or Dermabond for top layer.

I prefer the Dermabond on the top. With the external sutures- If you have multiple dogs one of the other dogs could mess with them. I used baby onsies for mine after their spays when I could not watch them. One of them would even walk in a Donut or Elizabethian collar. I never leave mine overnight but I am a human nurse myself so post-op. patients are nothing to me. Mine all get the pain I injection which would work til the next morning. The vet gave me a script for pain pills if I needed them. None of the yorkies never did. My golden did but he is a giant baby! The yorkies were sore the next few days- Roxy my 3.5 girl was back herself by the next morning and wanted to play- She even escaped her playpen 3 foot sides and jumped back in when I saw she was out. Drop off was 7a but I stayed with them til the vet was going to do the surgery @10a. They were ready to go home by 2-3 in the afternoon.

| Looks like MikaTallulah covered all the important ones.. I'm sure your vet will tell you but make sure your pup doesn't run/jump too much for obvious reasons. Zoey gave me small heart attacks b/c she started jumping around the next day. Not sure if you have a ecollar yet but if your pup's really small, you might have to order something online. I think one of the members here make them? |

| Glad I looked here, Mine's going to the vet today for possible pollen allergies, and I'm going to bring up spaying again. Thanks for posting what questions should be asked.
