You can rub coconut oil into the coat and put it in their food, it helps with healing the skin. There are several products on the market for teeth, petzlife, leba III and healthy mouth, hopefully those will help out if you can get your hands on them. I'm sure there are others but I know only of these. | |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Welcome Kellylyn, love the names you have chosen and I'm so glad Tiffany and Tucker are in a good home with someone who will care for them properly. Have they had a vet check yet? I would do that and set them up for a spay and neutering unless they are already spayed and neutered. Yorkies have notoriously bad teeth, and you have to take steps to prevent tooth loss at in early age. I not only brush, but use a tooth spray and dog chews to help prevent tartar and also choose a food that helps with that. Some people skip all that and do a yearly tooth cleaning and some people combine things, and do a cleaning every few years. You can either find or groomer or check out are grooming forum and learn to groom yourself, but the first time it might be good to use a groomer. I’ve learned so much here, I don’t know how I’d take care of mine without YT!
