| Could he have an ear infection. I would have it looked at by your vet, especially if he's yelling while scratching it. Ear infections can be really painful. Please let us know what your vet says.

| Don't those ear infections sort of have pungy smell? I read earlier about how someone finding a tick in their pup's ear... *shivers* Either way, I concur with the rest. Time for a visit to the vet! I hope your pup feels better. |

| I agree with the other posters, please see a vet as soon as possible. When my puppy was younger she had an ear infection with similar symptoms - crying/whining while scratching her ear and shaking her head. A visit to the vet and antibiotics soon fixed the problem. Ear infections can be painful. |

| His ears do not smell pungent... and hes only doing it at night and in the morning. Still think its an ear infection?

| Princess Sophie had an ear infection and there was no smell at all so I wouldn't necessarily go by that.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would let the vet determine what is causing him to scratch. I know they can be pretty miserable when they have a problem with their ears. Keep us posted please.

| Are you giving him a treat in the morning/night? Maybe some sort of allergic reaction? Either way, definitely go see a vet. Whatever it is, it's really bothering your lil pup so you'd want to get that taken care of asap. |
