Greetings people, My name is Whip or Mark, I allow people to choose which to use as I have been know to answer to many other names also. My lovely little friends name is Trixie and she is 2 years old as of the 4 th May. I got her from the SPCA here in Auckland NZ at the age of 8 months after my previous mate was tragically taken from us one night. Trixie had a horrible start to life with a elderly lady who, due to not having any patience to teach her maltreated her until the SPCA stepped in. She was a very skinny, afraid of everything little girl when we got her but with love she is improving and building confidence in herself. But we still have a lot to work on but atleast she is now in a loving caring home for ever. I have just tried to upload some photos of our girl but my files are to big, darn I hate these sites that don't allow larger photos , but I digress. I will shrink the kids and try again later.

Welcome Mark Whip and Trixie. What a wonderful act of kindness and compassion to adopt little Trixie. It sounds like you guys are really making progress. It's sad that she had to suffer through all that abuse to find you.

Welcome, Whip. I find it much cooler to know someone named Whip, so that's my choice. ;)

Sounds like you've done a great thing rescuing sweet Trixie. She hit the jackpot with an owner with patience and understanding.

Can't wait to see some pics. I think the system allows up to 200 kilobytes per image. I usually size at 400 x 600 pixels, and that works.

Oh, and welcome to YT!

Thanks and yes, it still amazes me that somebody can be utterly cruel to such a small little baby like our Trixie but sadly, in all society around the world, there are many who just don't care for what God gave us in our pets. Thanks again for the welcome and I must go into my library and shrink some photos as I believe I have the best looking Yorkie in the world, but then again, wouldn't we all say that about our little babies.:D

Welcome to YT :) Congratulations on your new little baby. It's wonderful that you can give Trixie a life she deserves. I spent some time in Auckland, based in Remuera. It's a beautiful area of the world!

Welcome Mark and Trixie :D She's a lucky little girl to have you in her life. She certainly deserves to be loved and spoiled. People can be so cruel. I'll never understand it

Hi, Mark (Whip) and Trixie! Congratulations on finding the most beautiful Yorkie ever...like all the rest of us have done :p It is so tragic that not all babies get the life they should have been given by us human caregivers, but, now that she has you, that's all changed! I am looking forward to those pix...:D

Welcome Whip and Trixie. How lucky both of you are to have each other. Great to have you both with us. I'm sure you will find excellent help here. There are a lot of YT member with rescues that can help.

BTW my favorite export from New Zealand to the states is a band called Black River Drive. :D

Now that is somebody I haven't heard of,Black River Drive, and it isn't even a wine. LOL. I will have to ask nicely for some patience as I have purchased a new computer and I will have to download a picture program I know and understand as I didn't have any luck last night shrinking the photo's. Yes I'm an old dumb used to be blonde but now a new shade of blonde grey person who is self taught computer geek who fails miseraly with these new fan-tackle machines. I must say that I am a caregiver for my elderly Mum and we got Trixie as much for her as for me. Mum suffers from dementia and is very happy sitting in her arm chair with Trixie curled up in her arm. I can now leave Mum for a two to three hour time now so that I can attend church as long as Trixie is curled up with Mum. Mum appears more settled and comfortable knowing that she has to watch over Trixie so to speak. On a lighter note, I didn't have the best of sleeps last night so spend a bit of time lying in bed awake and boy, for a little dog, Trixie snores and can create quite some noise. Yes she sleeps in bed with me under the covers too as we are now heading into our winter and the temperature is cooling.

Welcome and thank you for the visual on your life with the fir kids. I have one that snores so loud you would think it was a big man and she's just 7 pounds. We can't sleep with her at all.

Wow! It is worth the wait. Trixie is adorable! You've obviously given her the love she needs. Thanks for sticking with it and figuring out how to resize!

Hey guys, don't let on to anybody, but it wasn't too hard to shrink the kids after all, so here is some more of Trixie. I will open a page sometime in the imagine area and start a portfolio for Trixie.
