Are you own by the cat as well?
Yes that was Silly and sadly I had to have her euthanasia recently as she developed kidney troubles. She had had a good life though I'm glad to say as she had walked into my home in Auckland I owned after my wife and I had separated, I was sitting watching TV and she walked into the dining area sat, looked around, came over and jumped up onto my lap and never left. She wasn't a kitten but she was young at the time, so she adopted me and here I was, always been a dog person and here is this cat saying " You are now mine " . I was a sales rep at the time and travelled away from home very second week for the week and Silly would follow me in and out to the company vehicle on the Monday and then sit up on the fence and watch me go and on the Friday she would be sitting up there waiting for me to come home. I believed she belonged to the neighbours as somebody was feeding her while I was away and the week I was home she lived with me. She used to do some crazy things so I called her Silly which stuck. When I sold my home to come and take care of Mum, I mentioned to the neighbours that they could have their cat back full time now but they said that it wasn't theirs so I purchased a cat box and Silly came with me and soon settled in with Mum and I. I have since become a cat person too as one day down at the local pet shop I saw a black cat that the previous owners decided they didn't want so she came home with me too. Her name is Shadow and although getting old, she tolerates Trixie amazingly when Trixie wants to play. We have neighbours whom have a little kitten that comes over to play with Trixie too which is absolutely gorgeous to watch the two of them chase each other around the furniture. Trixie also has a Poodle friend from up the street that comes down for a play which is excellent too as she mixes with other dogs is good for her. Well, wasn't that a big reply for such a little question. :D |
