No Minnie just has demodex but the shampoo for it she had a allergic reaction to so they switched to a pill and now she has a bacterial infection from it that they have her on another pill for that. I feel terrible for her. I just keep giving her lots of kisses and tell her I'm sorry :( |

I apologize for my references to her grammer/grammar...I am far from perfect in mistyping and such, so I do apologize for that. I want to get past all the previous posts and ask baboon to consider starting a thread in the breeders section so that she can formally introduce herself and discuss her breeding program so that we can perhaps constructively discuss the pros and cons of it and help her to see why many of her practices are not quite in favor of producing standard Yorkies. Baboon would you consider having a constructive conversation in the breeders section with a bunch of YTers who really care about Yorkies? |

I could be completly off. I guess I have doubt because when I was concerned when she was 13 or so weeks she blew up at me. Instead of getting to the bottom of things professionally she said her hair will grow. Wouldn't the mom and dad have looked like her when they were her age?? Looking back now a reputable ptofesdional breeder wouldn't have handled the situation like that i believe. I was always taught that you treat people how you would like to be treated, and if you have nothing nice to say u say nothing at all. During the whole process Cristina was nothing but very sweet and kind and I was very glad that she chose me for Minnie. She knew from day one when Minnie was only 2 weeks old when I first met her the instant love I had for her. Pretty much every day I was in contact w her thru email video texts phone calls meeting up. She was equally as happy that she chose us for Minnie as well. When it came time for me to finally get to take Minnie home. It was very emotional for both if us. Everything was perfect even for the next week or do we kept in touch everyday to see how she was adjusting to her new home and showing pics of Her n all that good stuff. That all changed instantly simply cuz I was a lil like concerned with Minnie's look. She then began to turn not so pretty and regretted the whole thing doubting my love for her and all. Who does that just because things looked a lil off. When I contacted her again a month or so later I heard nothing. So ref flags went up and now I dunno what to believe hence why I had to get the test it I will then hang everything I need good or bad. Minnie is our preciodbmatter what she is. She our lil unique princess :) |

Breeders that have more than one breed of dog around sometimes have a female that is bred by more than one male. There are other circumstances that could have lead to your current situation as well. I hope the DNA test brings you some peace about what is going on. No one should ever make you feel guilty about questioning what the actual genetic makeup of your puppy is. |

It sounds like this person NEEDS to just stop breeding as she really has no clue how to do so OR how to treat people. The OP has every rite to question this pups breed as it looks NOTHING like a purebred Yorkie. |

To the breeders following this thread...It's my understanding that if a puppy is mixed with another breed somewhere down the line (not necessarily just the mother and/or father), that there's a chance that the puppy could take on characteristics of the other breed. For example...if Minnie's grandfather is Min Pin, Minnie could have taken on traits from her grandfather. Because Minnie looks so far from the Yorkie standard, doesn't necessarily mean that her father is not a Yorkie. It might not be common, but maybe her grandfather just has really strong genes? Is that correct? Or am I totally off here? Sorry of it's a dumb question, but I'm just curious because the breeder says she bred 2 Yorkies. Minnie obviously does not look like the offspring of 2 pure bred Yorkies. Maybe Minnie got her traits from another relative? Hence, the bewilderment of the breeder. Obviously, there was no testing/pedigree research done. So the breeder was probably surprised by Minnie's physical characteristics. I'm curious what the brother, Mickey, looks like. |
The only thing with that is the grandparents are supposed to be purebred as well. The breeder has a family tree type thing. So if Minnie was from mom n dad it would be near impossible for her not to be purebred which means she would not look like this correct?? This is all new to me but I'm trying to figure it out lol. |
I really wish baboon would post some pictures. Not that it would help at this point. When do you get the DNA results? <--- Those will be the proof. |
