I wasn't making fun of you, I really understand that you believed you dog was a purebred and it kind of freaked you out to learn that it might not be. The ACA is not a reputable registry, and so your dog’s parents may not be purebreds, and unless you were ultra-careful, your female may have tied with another dog. It's possible for a litter to have different fathers for each pup. Wait till you hear the results, if the dog is not purebred you should probably return some of the money she paid, the difference between a purebred and a mixed breed. She will have a case that can be filed in small claims and they usually don't make you return all the money, just a part of it.

You do have your forward plan, and I urge you to follow the DNA testing on your breeding pair.

Unless you kept a 24/7 watch on your gal who was in heat, it is possible another male bred her, other than your Yorkie. Surely you, now that you have been here awhile, and have seen all the pups of around the age of Minnie and perhaps Mickey, have to be struck by the differences in them, to other purebred Yorkies.

I urge you to stick around if only to read about what health testing should be done on the breeding pair, go to ytca.org to see what the National Club has to offer in terms of seminars and learning possibilities.

Look mistakes happen, even with the very experienced breeders, health issues can crop up and take you by surprise; it is how you respond, and how you support your puppy buyers that is a very important facet of what makes a good breeder.

A little bit of research into the different registries in the States would have given you a really good clue on just how reputable ACA is.

I love this breed, and want to see healthy and fine representatives of the breed producing more lovely Yorkie pups, that meet the standard in all ways.

I agree that baboon should stick around. There's so many people here who can help you with breeding questions. I don't know how many dogs you own, but when I bred my mini schnauzer, I had only the 2 dogs with me- my girl, and the stud. If you have a few other dogs, it's very possible an accident could have happened. Wait for the DNA results, and if Minnie isn't a purebred Yorkie, take the high road and do a refund.

I have no problem refunding money back to Jen I will be very open to it but then I will have my breeder refund me money to cause when I bought my yorkie I thought I was getting a purebred also. these people on here are making me seem like a breeder that just sells mutts but that's not the case at all I am going thru a lot of emotions just as well, and these rude comments aren't helping me at all. I will more than apologize to Jennifer if Minnie is mixed with anything but yorkie. I'm a very good person

I only have one male yorkie his name is duke. so if results come back that she is mixed than I got sold a mixed yorkie as well

You should have done a lot more research before breeding and still need to. If your serious about breeding you need to get the dogs you have now fixed. Find a great breeder who has excellent examples of the breed that are AKC registered do health and genetic testing on them and find a mentor to help you do this right. Read some books and do a lot more research about Yorkies. Don't breed a female under 5 pounds, don't let the puppies go home before 12 weeks and strive to be the best breeder you can be.

Even of her male is a mix which it doesn't matter anymore who knows what to believe. Minnie still doesn't look anything like the dad do blaming it on ur mixed breed u mite have and trying to cover up something illegal abd unethical is beyond me. I think a completly different mix breed dog thst she has knocked her female up. But I could b completly wrong well have to wait 10 more days and go from there. If and thsts the biggest if ever lol Minnie is a purebred I will fall over lol but then i will pick my self off the ground be an adult and then call and apologise. If she's not i will do what I have to do. It's not only about money. It was never about money it's about honesty integrity and facts. If you own two yorkies u know what they look like when u have a litter of two more you know what they look like y cover it up with lie after lie and not just say the truth or let the future buyer aware of the situation and do homework before you officially pass it over. Just saying.

Not quite that you sell "mutts". One issue is how you treated the owner of your puppy when she had concerns and questions about her Yorkie puppy.
Only you and she know how supportive and elaborative you were with her questions.
I am sure you in all good faith and knowledge mated two Yorkies together and then had a pup that is maturing to look not like a Yorkie at all is very distressing.

What right now I am more concerned about is Minnie. What did the vet say this am? What tests did he/she recommend be done, and what tests were done?

BATS should be done IMO with the kinds of symptoms that were described here. I am of course assuming you did BAT testing on your breeding pair, prior to breeding them?

Honestly though, is there even a slight chance duke may not be the father? Any moment at all another male may have got at the dam?

I got bloodwork done about 1.5 weeks ago and it takes around 3 weeks. The test was 125.00 but me obviously seeing the fact she didn't look like a yorkie wasn't enough for the breeder so I had to go the most professional way I knew. Then is when they found demodex on Minnie. So I'm currently treating that which is quite difficult and we have had issues with it :(

I guarantee Minnie's so called dad is not the dad even if he's a mix breed cuz Minnie looks nothing like him. I'm not sure if she posted any pictures but Minnie's dad lies somewhere else in her house of pets I believe.

If Minnie comes back as being mixed, be sure to ask for compensation for the cost of the DNA test as well.

I don't recall Minnie having any health problems other than demodex. Is this referring to something from another thread, or did I miss something?
