Hello and welcome to the most informative yorkie place on the web :D:p I too am still waiting for my baby girl (I pick her up next weekend :eek:) and this forum has been EXTREMELY helpful.

A couple of thing I would love to share.

I never used nutra cal with Trixie as she hated it but my vet suggested light Karo syrup which works just as well and she loved it.

Something to consider. Yorkie's or some of them are tiny full grown. If you live where you have snow think about potty training to pads so our baby does not have to fight the snow or rain or any bad weather and then neither do you. Keep in mind Yorkie's can be stubborn with potty training just be persistent and gentle and he will do fine.

Keep in mind there are in some states if not all that have hawks who prey on small animals be aware if you do take your puppy outside and stay close. Take this seriously please as I know someone who lost their puppy that way.

Try not to leave your new baby for more than a couple hours at a time if at all possible as they need you in those first few months more than ever.

Don't be surprised if your baby becomes your shadow. Mine follows me from room to room just to be sure I am ok I am sure lol.

My baby has a heating pad in her bed and when I am home it is usually on low and she loves it. Make sure if ou do that that you buy one with a auto cutoff mode.

Also yorkie puppies are a little fragile be careful about letting small children carry them. I had one a long time ago and let my 8 year old niece carry him. She tripped on her nightgown and dropped him and broke his leg. To say the least I learned my lesson after that and after that when I got a new baby no children held them or were left alone with them.

I am not trying to startle you just sharing things I have learned thru a lifetime of Yorkie's.
