| Now you see them, now you don't? Last night after play time, Sam flopped down beside me and presented his belly for an obligatory rub. It took about half a second to notice his testicles! About the size of a small grape. Oh boy. I was hoping they wouldn't drop until closer to 8 months, when I plan to have him neutered. When DH came in a few minutes later, I flipped Sam over to show him - nothing? Not even a hint of boy bits! Is this normal for maturing males? And when should I start keeping him away from Piper? She hasn't shown any signs of heat yet, and he's not tried to hump her or anything else, but I'm not taking any chances. They just turned six months on the 30th. I think they live for their Friday afternoon play dates. I hate the idea of keeping them apart, but as long as it's necessary, it's what we'll do. We had hoped to have Piper's spay scheduled for next week, but ran into a scheduling problem (that's another post).

| My boy is only 5 months old and his boy bits have dropped. My dh and I laugh because they r so small and cute (it sounds bad lol). I havent seen his testicles disappear though so I dont know about that. Titus is going to be neutered on May 22nd. |

| I never saw that with Rufus..He is now 1 year old and neutered. But I don't have experience in this sector. Rufus is my first toy breed male. We've always had either small females or big males/females and the big dogs were always outside..

| I wondered if the "boy bits" popped out because you were squeezing him so hard. LOL Really, I have no idea!!!
