Now you see them, now you don't? Last night after play time, Sam flopped down beside me and presented his belly for an obligatory rub. It took about half a second to notice his testicles! About the size of a small grape. Oh boy. I was hoping they wouldn't drop until closer to 8 months, when I plan to have him neutered.
When DH came in a few minutes later, I flipped Sam over to show him - nothing? Not even a hint of boy bits!
Is this normal for maturing males? And when should I start keeping him away from Piper? She hasn't shown any signs of heat yet, and he's not tried to hump her or anything else, but I'm not taking any chances. They just turned six months on the 30th.
I think they live for their Friday afternoon play dates. I hate the idea of keeping them apart, but as long as it's necessary, it's what we'll do. We had hoped to have Piper's spay scheduled for next week, but ran into a scheduling problem (that's another post).
