YT 2000 Club Member | Upday on Tatiana's vet visit...... Hi, everyone! I just wanted to update you all on Tatiana's skin issues. After a visit to the vet again......they did a skin sample and examined it under a microscope. No mites, infection of any kind and no vasculitis! She just has very dry skin with a build up on her ear tips. She has EnteDerm ointment that needs to be applied 2 times a day until the scales are gone The food will stay the same unless she gets worse. I am so happy it is nothing serious!

| Add some coconut oil to her food. It's great for skina and coat and most dogs love the taste. Just 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon daily. FYI it's good for your hair and skin also. Cocotherapy is a popular brand. You can find coconut oil in most health food stores also. Look for virgin cold pressed. |

YT 2000 Club Member | What food is she on? My little poodle had very dry skin and when I changed to a venison base she cleared up. Alot of dogs are allergic to wheat, corn or soy. So watch her and if she is still dry, try changing food. |

YT 2000 Club Member | She is on BB Freedom w/chicken as the protein. My vet is wanting to wait and see if she adjusts to the food as she has only been on it 6 weeks. We are hoping her skin will get better with the warmer weather and humidity. If not then, it will be switched. And probably to Bison or fish protein. Thank you all for the concerns!

| Venison based food is all I have found that cleared up Jada's itchiness. But the last two companies that had the venison Limited Ingredient varieties had recalls I'm on the search now for a different company and food.

| That is a synptom of sarcoptic mange. (buildup on the ear tips) Are you giving her a HW preventative that treats mites? Most times mites won't show up on a skin scraping.

| I'm learning something new, what is a build up on the ear tips? Or rather what builds up?
