| Pet Daycare and Spa Thinking about taking Milo to a pet daycare to let him play with some small dogs. He only has played with our GF and our mix that is a med size dog. It's a pet spa and resort. Just wondering if anyone else has taken their yorkie to a daycare? He is such a momma boy. Do y'all think it would b good or bad?

| I haven't taken my pups to a Day Care but I have heard from friends and they love theirs! I think it would be a great thing to be able to do for your baby. They are social animals after all. I would be sure to get references on the place you are looking at and have a good tour of the facility before making a commitment but I do think it's a great idea!!

| Ian goes to Camp BowWow, and loves it! He loves playing with his friends, and it is great exercise. He goes to their day camp at least once a month, and sometimes spends the night, if needed.

| No I'm not that close to them but I wish I was. It sounds like fun. I may try the day care just to see if he likes it. I can drop him off and do a little shopping then go back and get him. I think it may b good for him.

| I took Crimson 3 times a week when she was like 5-6 months old when I was working. It was nice not to be the one chasing her.

YT 500 Club Member | I have taken Dolly and you can get on their website and watch them She had a good time but was wiped out when we got back home. This was when we were in Fl, they put them in cubicle according to their weight so I felt safe leaving her there |

| I have taken the boys to 4 daycares (and they spent their first night away from home Saturday night at one). The first one I LOVED, and it was only Chase that went. We put him in daycare for the first 2 days after Calvin's neuter so he could play and Calvin could stay home with me and rest. They separated the dogs by size and play style, had webcams (I was glued to it watching him play lol), and he got a report card each day. The second one was when we were traveling with them. I found one online I liked and we emailed back and forth and I really liked them. We brought the boys with us, and they would go there during the day while we were looking at apartments, then we would pick them up and they would be SO tired they would just sleep at the hotel with us. They spent 4 days there (it was Camp Bow Wow) and the first day they got their picture and report card The third daycare was just last week. We moved a couple months ago, and the Camp Bow Wow we used when we visited here last year has closed, so I found a place we really liked and we were taking them for the day so we could see if we liked it and for them to get used to it. We were hoping to use them when we went out of town for Saturday to Sunday. We watched them on the cameras, and half the time couldn't even see them. They were only there 4 hours, and when we could see them they were in a small area with other small dogs. They didn't have much playtime, and there wasn't even a person in there most of the time. We won't take them back there. The place we ended up using for boarding this weekend was PetsHotel at Petsmart. They were the only daycare/boarding that had people there ALL night. The boys got playtimes with other dogs their size, their own suite, and a report card telling us about their eating, sleeping, potty breaks, how they played, etc. It was really great. You can even call and they will hold the phone to your dog so you can talk to them They loved the boys and I would not hesitate to take them back. The only advice I can offer is to check out as many places as you can. We toured SO many daycares and boarding places and didn't feel comfortable with most of them. Make sure small dogs are separated, check the outside play area fence to make sure a small yorkie couldn't squeeze out, make sure there is someone in the area with them all the time, and watch the employees interact with the dogs if you can. I also like the daycares that have webcams and do play testing or an evaluation to get dogs approved first. |

| I took Buddy to daycare once thinking that he would love it, since he loves other dogs. We live in a dog friendly development, so he is very well socialized. However, when I came home and logged onto the webcam, I saw him sitting in the middle of the room terrified. I immediately went back to pick him up and he was shaking like a leaf! I think he was a little overwhelmed since he's a bit submissive. He is a little mama's boy though. People have told me that once they get used to it, they love it. |

| Peanut loves his daycare. They also have a cam- Every time I look he is just standing in the same spot LOL, however when I pick him up he will sleep for the rest of the day! The last couple of times he has went one of the workers has given him a treat or something and made him have tummy issues- nothing too serious. It makes me annoyed because I tell them not to give him anything.. so I haven’t taken Peanut there in a while.
