| Crating a pup or using an xpen are not cruel , actually the opposite. They feel more secure when left alone in a smaller area then in a big area. If you do end up putting your baby in the bathroom, Please ALWAYS be sure to close the toilet lid as some members here have lost pups to drowning in the toilet. And, Welcome to YT ! |

| *UPDATE* Thanks for the advice! I bought a playpen yesterday, it's a very pretty baby blue pen! soo cute! It also changes size and shape, and I can connect his little crate to it making it even bigger. My friend said it was bigger than Busch Gardens and made fun of me, "It's a puppy, not a baby!" (but thats another story lol). Anyway, I put the playpen in the living room, next to the window so he can have lots of light, and a nice view, and I also got a little radio. My question now is what should I do about covering the floor inside the playpen? the playpen doesn't have a floor and it's on the carpet. I thought about putting down a layer of plastic bags, then cardboard, the. Newspapers, and then his potty pads ... Any better ideas? Or should I get an area rug?

Be very careful about putting plastic under there as a pup left alone will dig and easily get through cardboard or plastic. | |

| Play pen I bought a pretty big one that works Miracles. I had a puppy room and there was no control with the potty. Besides the playpen although the space is smaller they can see the while house and they feel free, don't become as anxious. ![]()
