Is eye color related to coat color

It is a challenge to take indoor photos of Katie because her green eye shine is so obvious, even in daylight without a flash. Most times I have to use an external flash to try to avoid the shine, but even then, I can see it in a lot of my photos. Katie has a very thick silky coat. The first attached photo was taken with my camera using the internal flash. I knew it would shine very green, but Katie was so happy to see her dad after a day away from him, that I couldn't miss out on her happy expression. You can seeKatie's eye shine even with my external flash unless I bounce it off of a ceiling. The further the flash is away from the lens of a camera, the less chance you will get red or green eye in Katie's case. In my last photo, I got Katie's eyes used to the light, and that's how I was able to avoid her green eye shine.

Katie's a doll! I love her coloring and her nice, thick silky coat. She's beautiful!

I have heard the theory about eye shine and coat type. Bentley has always been my little alien pup. He will be 5 months old on the 27th. His hair is starting to really silver out right above his shoulders. So guess that is indicating he will be along that gun metal/blue color and thus silky. At least according to the theory guess he's right on target.

Here is picture I took of my alien Bentley after his bath this past Sunday. Yes I did a little editing of coloring in the picture on instagram, but the darkening of the image only emphasized his spooky green eyes.

Lol aww I love your lil alien pup! I'm getting excited about Bella as well, she's not even 3 months yet & I can already see hairs on her head becoming silver at the root! Also her mouth is getting lighter too. Oh boy

She's not even 3 months & already changing..My lil baby! I took this early this morning.. You can see her mouth is becoming very light, her hairs on the top of her head are light at the root but you can't tell in this pic. But her eyes reflect blue so I'm hoping for a nice thick, silky coat

She is so beautiful and actually the glow of her eyes are striking. Bentley is shocking neon green. Katie's are a beautiful almost turquoise green.

Looked again. They ARE turquoise. Sorry just woke up and still working on the first cup of coffee.
