Are you one? Are you like me? I used to make fun of people who dressed their dogs. And oh my goodness I couldn't believe they would take them to get pictures made!! Then I got a Yorkie and I became one of them!! :eek: I have had dogs in the past and never did it. What is it about a Yorkie that changes you?? My girls have lots of clothes, hair bows, better hair products then me, harnesses, cloud9 beds, a stroller on the way, and so much more! :eek: What has happened to me? I look in the mirror and realize I have become one of "those" crazy dog people! And I wouldn't have it any other way! :p Was this you too??? |
Lol....I had a yorkie for 10 years and only put coats on her when it was cold. Now with my new girls and Max, they get dressed to go out and greet the public! If it is chilly in the house, they wear shirts or jammies. I love to spoil them and really don't care what people think....especially relatives! Most people love how they are dressed and pampered. I guess I have joined the crazy Yorkie Mom Club, along with you! It is so much fun......:) |

We say this all the time in our home. We have become THOSE people . . . the ones we always rolled our eyes at for taking their dogs everywhere, for dressing them, for having silly things for, who treat their dogs like children/grandchildren. :D |
Oh my goodness, if only.....:D I've GOT the jumpers/jackets etc for Harry - but he just won't keep them on....:eek: So I've had to resort to blinging him up with some amazing collars (yes, for his tags, before anyone tells me off!! :p), fabulous soft harnesses, very expensive beds galore and whatever else our little Prince desires :) I think we're all a bit nuts where our pups are concerned - brilliant, isn't it?!!? :D Sally + Harry x |
This is to funny just the other day when I was at Joann's Fabric buying a few things LOL. An older women who was cutting my fabric says "may I say what your making" I say sure dog clothes for my baby. All my kids are grown but I do have my baby girls. Well she says to me "All my kids are grown and so aren't my Grandchildren I do have dogs and you don't see me making dog clothes. As she was rolling her eyes at me. So then I take out my phone and show her Chloe pictures all dressed up. She had no choice but to smile because who wouldn't smile at a Yorkie all dressed up. Their were about 5 other customers waiting to have fabric cut and all had to see the pictures. Yes it's true I was one of those people who would ever dress up a dog but I look at me now dressing them up and putting them in a stroller going for walks. |

I never would have thought I would dress my dogs. Now I am making them clothes. Never had a interest in sewing until having these pups. So very guilty. And I get lots of crazy and eye rolls. It's okay. I am good with it :) |

I think the funniest is my dd... they about flipped when I got Remy. "oh no mom!!!! NOT a YORKIE!!!!!" They are yapping, stringy hair etc etc. When I went to visit them in Chicago they about flipped out when I had her dressed up.. and when I got the stroller Amy texted me "please make it stop!!!!" Guess who has yorkies now?????:D |
4 Attachment(s) I absolutely love dressing up my dogs and having photo shoots. I have a male named Ralph and he can't wait to get a sweater or costume on he is running around like a nut. He even stops and poses now for the camera. LOL!We even made Ralph his own FaceBook page because everyone loved seeing Ralph and I think he loves all the attention and it has done wonders for his personality. Now when people come in he is running around bringing them toys flipping upside down barking. He is the entertainer of the house now. |
HAHA, do you even have to ask? Of course, it's Yorkosis!!! I swear something chemically changes in you when you have yorkies! :D i sure was one of those disparaging eye-rollers. :rolleyes: I shudder to think of how much unnecessary money I've spent on Lexie, but just have to let that go.:p Recently watching TV, this promo for a show called Spoiled Pets came on & there was this lady with a small dog saying she had over 200 dresses! My DH looks at me and goes, "Honey, that's you! Ya think we could get that show to come interview you?" :D :eek::eek: |
