YT 500 Club Member | Darling hiccups My 4 1/2 month old, Sophie, has started getti the hiccups a few times a week. None of my other pups ever did this. Is this normal? It is adorable, but do I need to be concerned? |

| Hmm, you know what? Mandie has never had the hiccups. I'm not sure of the answer here. I know in people, hiccups are actually a type of indigestion. I wonder if it is the same with them. Is her bowl raised up off the floor? Also, are you sure it is hiccups? They can also have reverse sneezing, but that does sound different. If you've never heard it before, it might come off as hiccups maybe...just thought I'd throw that out there.

| Bentley gets them a lot. I know in humans swallowing of air can cause it so I'm just guessing it's due to excitement. For him it usually coincides with him being devilish. So I figure in his excitement he's just swallowed a lot of air. Just this morning he woke up and started to devil me by jumping on my head to wake me up. My usual defense is to cover my head until he settles down. After rooting for a minute he laid down on top of my head. Just as he settled down I felt the hickup tremors start. Told him that served him right. lol When any of the kids or myself get the hickups now we call it "the Bentleys." I figure they subside in a few minutes and he seems to not be bothered by them so I just pay it no mind. But yes, it's cute as anything especially when he gets them in his sleep.

YT 500 Club Member | She has been getting them right out of the blue, from a sound sleep, playing, relaxing, etc. I've been just rubbing her belly getting her to relax and they seem to go away a little quicker. Glad to know some others get them too. |
