Ruby's Puppies @ 8 weeks old, I have found Great families for all of them.
 

Well, its official.... all six pups are spoken for. I've found six wonderful families. Most are local or surrounding counties. But my little wee one Kaylee will be going all the way to WV. I am so pleased with the families who I have chosen for the pups. Couldnt' be happier.

Even thou they will be going to wonderful families, it will be hard on us seeing them go. I know the time will come and I am not looking forward to it. I dont look at this as a business type of thing, to me its more like a part of our family leaving us forever. It feels like a part of Ruby or Scooby's leaving the safety of our home. Its never been easy handing the pups over and watching them drive away and I dont think that it ever will.

Update: They are mad I tell ya, Mad !! :D

All eating and drinking and playing non stop and getting plenty of rest. All are full of energy and love playing with any sort of balls. YOu can imagine that my days are filled with puppy poo & pee X 6. Cleaning crap out of the water bowel and the food dish is my favorite thing. Then there is the fun of having not one but 6 pups nipping at your toes during play time. But they are all worth every bit of it. They are such wonderful and loving little pups and I love them all so much.

- Bo is 3.6 lbs : Has a new family here in our home town.
- Scrappy is 1.15 lbs : Will be going to St. Marys, Ohio
- Winchester is 2.4 lbs : Is also staying local
- Daisy is 3.9 lbs : Is going to Kenton, Ohio
- Kaylee is 1.10 lbs : Will be headed all the way to Hamlin, WV
- Mylee is 1.15 lbs : Will be going to Blufton, Ohio

They start leaving for their new homes starting this weekend ! :(

They are all so cute and glad you found them all good homes.

I'm glad you found them all great homes :) Can I ask you why you are sending them to their homes so early?

I could be wrong, but I don't think they are leaving yet. I think she was just saying that they have all been spoken for already and have homes when they do leave. (?)

From the title, they are still just 8 weeks. You thought you lost a whole month huh? I've done that..but with a day or two. Never a whole month. That would be scary! :)

Those puppies are adorable. I want all of them lol. I really do want another one , but hubby says we can just spoil Trinket. Congrats on finding good families for your babies.

They all look like little sweethearts. It will be hard to see them go. Did you make the new owners promise to send pictures of them as they are growing up? If Amy would ever have puppies I don't think I could ever sell them. Would want them all to myself. And that is the reason the husband made sure I had her spayed. LOL

Surely this is a late April fools joke?

Sorry I've been quit busy and am now just getting time to look over your reply's. No this is Not a Joke. I only wanted to share in my joy of finding wonderful families for each of them. I did a lot of weeding out those people that I didn't' feel could handle the responsibility of a new pup.

I have spoken to my vet who knows me and my pups very well. I asked her about keeping the little ones for up to 12 weeks because I was concerned about their size. I've never had pups this small before. She said that it has nothing to do with size but whether they are eating, drinking and are energetic. She said as long as they gaining weight and are doing well they can go at eight weeks old. So, upon her advise I am letting the two largest pups go at eight weeks. Bo has gone to his new family and I have been in contact with here and she said he did wonderful. Daisy will also leave this weekend. I have no doubt that they are going to be in great and capable hands. If I has any concerns what so ever they would not be going.

I am keeping the other smaller ones longer. My vet nor I have any concerns about there eating habits or energy level. They have been wormed and had one series of shot and will have second before leaving my home. I am very confident that each of them is ready and could go at eight weeks but I am choosing to keep the smallest one longer. Some will go at nine weeks and the other two will leave at 10 weeks of age.

I don't expect that any of you can understand my decision and I am not going to go back and forth with you as you question it. I will alway have the best interest of my pups at heart in any decision that I make concerning their well being.

Thanks so much, Ruby hasn't been around them as much. She and the other big pups love play time. It so cute to see them play together. :)

The family that is taking Mylee lives in Hamllin WV. Im worried about her making the 5 and a half hour trip to her now home. I have sent her instructions for the trip from my vet. I will also be sending her home with some Nutrical for the trip home just in case there are an issurs with her energy level.

They are due for their shots on 4-19-13 at 10 weeks of age. If when they go to the vets for their next shots, there are any concerns I will definatly keep them longer. But as long as my vet gives the ok, they will be sent to their new families.

Vets can not know every breed and what is best for each breed and I have even heard many vets who say they go by what each breed club suggest. There is a lot of research that shows 12 weeks is best for so many reasons. Why not just give them the best start possible and keep them until 12 weeks. It makes me so sad that someone who is an active member of yt and that has seen the research would continue to do this. Can I ask why your not a member or the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America?

She seriously just explained herself and you dont always know best. You're not a vet. I know your intentions are good. I'm not trying to attack. My opinion is that you should just focus your education of breeding on someone who needs it more. They're out there, as we both know.
