| I thought I wanted a Maltese for my next pet.... but can you do a Mawk? I'd like him to have a mohawk too! This thread cracked me up!!!! I am a bit concerned about my Mawk flying away with my Yorkies, so I'll only take it if you have Heash (Hawk Leash) and of course the Talocks for dual protection.

First, breed for the little bitty ones.....and charge upwards of $6000.00. Second, avoid having vet checks on either breeder....these are all new and hybreds, so no one really knows what health issues they have...dont go looking for problems...if something crops up, hey, never happened to you before! Third, no vet checks on the babies...not really necessary...no one will know any different.... Fourth, start advertising when they are 4 weeks old, in news papers, feed store bullitin boards, comic books, anyplace when ads are free....dont want to spend money on advertising. Yard signs are great! Fifth, avoid the necessity of giving vaccinations...those dad gum shots are expensive! and if they have a reaction to the shot, there goes your inventory!!! Let new owners worry with that stuff! Sixth, have to dump them at 6 weeks! They are cutest then, people will snatch them up...you can fudge on how old they are by a couple of weeks, no one will know. Seventh, no worming either. Tell new owners they can buy worming meds OTC and take care of any worms...... Eighth, absolutely do NOT get involved with microchipping....do you have ANY idea what a box of those dad gum things cost???? If they want them microchipped, let them pay for that...and you SURE dont want YOUR name as a contact on any of these things...if they get lost, you certainly do not want to be responsible for picking it up.... Ninth, no need to be signing contracts with owners....they dont read them anyway, and the object is to get rid of these things for good....dont be promising anything you are going to be responsible for in the future....cuts into any $$$$ you have made! Tenth, Change names often on your business...dont want people that later decide they have been gyped or scammed, to be able to get ahold of you... Better yet, sell them fom your trunk, in the parking lot of the grocery store...out by the street so you are seen. Can also sell at yard sales, or a NEW idea, RAFFLE them off! Remember, the whole idea here is to make a profit doing this!!! Dont want to spend any money on all thos xrays, those vet checks, those special diets, those vaccinations, etc....and then get rid of them ASAP!!! BEFORE you have to vaccinate, before you have to start any heartworm treatments, before you are obligated to microchip, before you concern yourself with whether this baby is even going to LIVE....get rid of it! Tell them you have to leave town....dying uncle or something.... so they all have to go to their new homes....tell them anything, they wont know! This will get you started! | |

| I think Yorkiemom1 is right. If you want to make money you have to miniaturize your breeding stock. It may take a few hundred generations but by the time you get your Yawk to the size of a Parakeet you will be rich. |

| I am just so excited about this!!! In probably less than 10 years, you can be outcrossing with humming birds, and then have micro-mini-teacup Yawks....THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!!!!!!! ITS RAINING MONEY IN HERE!!!!!! |
