| OMG! Wow I am just catching up on this story. How wrong of that Vet- So glad that you wrote them an email about your experience- I’m so happy to hear that the owner is taking this seriously and wants to make it right. Hopefully everything goes great for you and for Cupcake.

| Ooops! Now I guess I'm the one who needs to apologize. Sorry for my quick post MandiesMom, I didn't read all the posts through to see your apology. I guess that whole lousy vet treatment had us all on edge! LOL |

| So glad to hear that Cupcake is back to her normal peppy self today. I wouldn't post yesterday because I was so worried about her and didn't want to transfer those negative feelings to you. Taking her out of your sight and giving her shots when she clearly didn't know what she was doing was so troubling. Not to mention the muzzle. I wasn't sure if she was listless because of the normal effect of the shots or if she was really emotionally and/or physically hurt. I hope you take her back if nothing more than to meet the owner and have a pleasant experience at the vet. She's just a baby and she deserves a chance to see that a real vet will show her some love mixed in with a few gentle pokes here and there.

| Cupcake had his return visit to the vet yesterday. He did wonderful! This vet was gentle and kind and knew what she was doing. She apologized for what happened at our previous appointment and told me that the other vet felt bad (hopefully that means she learn how to handle small puppies). But I was told yesterday that Cupcake is a healthy boy and that there are no behavior problems that she could see. Glad he had a positive experience this time. I will defiantly make sure this is the vet that takes care of Cupcake for now on. :

| Poor Cupcake! I would change vets for sure. When the vet first came in did she play with him, give him a treat? My vet is great, she is caring picking Bella up and playing before she does her exam. Plus, Bella received her shots over a period of time, taking her back every two weeks until she was up to date. This way her little body was not hit with it all at once................just a thought.

I hope too that your speaking up will save other new puppy parents from having a bad experience with the other vet. Hopefully she will change her ways.

| Glad to hear you had a better experience this last trip to the vet. All it takes is one bad meet up with someone like the previous vet to really throw a pet owner off. Maybe the other vet had some sort of prejudice against small dogs or Yorkies in particular. I know there are people like that out there and vets are just people with a degree. They still maintain their personal feelings about things. I'm glad you found someone who knows how to treat your guy like the little darling that he is. |
