Cripe, I would never come out of the house at night if I heard that! I'm not afraid of the dark...just whats in it!!

Thanks for the info! It has some important information to deter them. I am thinking that between feeding our birds, the wild rabbits and ducks, wooded area with a creek...... coyotes have a good reasons to like our surrounding property! YIKES!!!!

I know! I feed birds too and we have a pond. I am going to check out the anti coyote sound system too.

You have a coyote sanctuary.

Be careful.

They are everywhere. A few months ago they were photographed walking in front of Wrigley Field, the home of the Chicago Cubs, in the city.

It is scary, when you see eyes glowing at you in the dark!

It sure freaked my 19 year old son. He woke at 3 in the morning hearing it howl close to the house, looked out his window and saw the eyes glowing in the dark! They seriously need to look else where for their supper!

Ok the sound was bad! But eyes??? I will FREAK OUT!

Coyote are very scary and wiley (I guess thats where the Wiley Coyote got his name

)..J/K they are very smart and hard to kill. We have a lot of them around our property. If DH carries his gun with him in the back fields he never sees them..let him go without a gun and he always sees a few.

Once he was working on fencing and happened to look up, he was on top of a knoll and a coyote was standing on top of a knoll about 200 yards away. He said every time he moved the coyote moved in the same direction. It went on like that for 10-15 minutes and the coyote finally ran off. Of course he didn't have his gun with him.

It will creep you out to no end, to hear a pack of them running through the fields and woods.

It creeped me out just hearing them howl! I didn't even see them!

Mikki will potty inside. Rosie will burst before she goes. I tried but she just won't go!!

When we lived in the country we not only had coyotes but also a panther we would hear at night. We always leashed the pups for their walks at night and kept lots of light in their potty area. Coyotes generally won't come near houses during the daytime. I worried more about the owls than I did them honestly. The panther though scared me into the house every time lol.
