Idk of any good dog parks either. We are in Russellville but can easily drive to Birmingham or wherever.

The Dothan thing is why I'm thinking Middle Alabama (Montgomery area) but I don't want it to seem like I'm saying that because I live here lol

I just got notice that my Cystic Fibrosis walk in April 27th. So, April 20th is still good for me.

I hope everyone can make it.
Here is what I propose: April 20th at 1pm?
If everyone is okay with that, then we'll break down some possible locations. I'll do some research or, again, we could all meet at my house. I can take Shelby-Dale to his Grandma's and it will just be the littles. I have a really big fenced in back yard.

Great I should be able to make it and I would think there should be some good places in Montgomery if you guys decide that is where you want to have it.
My daughter and I went to the park area at the Shakespeare.....??? in Montgomery. I was a very nice area. I don't know if they allow dogs or not.
If interested I can find out the name and if they allow dogs.

Any locations ideas would be great. I'm not familiar with Montgomery. The best I could do is google searches. I'm ok with doing it at Terri's as well. We want it to be safe for our babies. And come closer if we all want to bring a snack or drinks or whatever. We can get that together closer to time.

That would be a great idea....the babies in a enclosed area and a bathroom right on hand!! HA!

Jilleen, it's the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. I don't think they allow dogs, but if you want to look into it and let us know, that would be great. It is a beautiful area over there.

I hope all our other Alabama peeps see this and come

I hope you don't mind me posting, but since I have been to a lot of meet ups, I would like to give you a few ideas. IMHO, if you can meet at someones home with a fenced in back yard that is your best option. Man. Mom if you held it would the dogs be able to go inside, ie it could rain. I have been to a lot of meetups and most have been at homes, the females that are not fully house broken must wear diapers and all the males must wear belly bands when indoors. We all bring a dish to pass and a new gift worth around 10.00 to pass around like a white elephant. Or we chip in and the hostess gets something like a party sub and snacks or pizza or makes chili. We also try to play a few games to break the ice, like dog breed scramble, tell what you dog would be like in High School or something like that. If we have a theme like Easter, or Valentines Day a game based on that. wish I lived in AL

Those are great ideas! Yes, if we have it at my house, I have a huge fenced yard AND plenty of room in my house if we need to come inside. I have plenty of spaces to park and if needed - a covered carport.
