| They could but I don't know for certain. We had to use doggy diapers on our Gretel when she was so sick and she refused to go potty in them but she was already trained to go outside only. It was a precaution only because she was so sick and eventually passed away. I'm not sure if it would work on a puppy not yet potty trained. You could try it and let us know if it works with your pup. There are also others on this site that may be able to give you better information. Good luck!!

YT 500 Club Member | Well I am training her to go outside she is 11 months so she is doing really great. I just noticed that ever since I got her she has no problem peeing in her crate. Idk why she just will. She is in heat now so I have put diapers on her and I have noticed that now she want use it in the crate because she don't want to use it in the diaper. |

| I tried diapers on our old girl "Baby" for incontinence. It was just a mess. I don't think they would work for training purposes because the puppy would go and you may not know it for awhile. They need to be caught when about to do the act.

YT 500 Club Member | That's the thing she want pee in them I guess because she doesn't want it to sit on her. i have been really happy about this but who knows this might only be the case until the diapers come off when she is no longer in heat. |

| My male gets carried away with himself sometimes with marking. With a Bellyband on him, he stops marking for the most part as he doesn't like to soil himself... but I can't see using them for initial potty training in young pups.
