I'm not sure what you mean by this comment, but it really upsets me. Mine are not chipped..does that make my home not good:confused: Not being chipped has nothing to do with whether the home is good or not.I live in a tiny rural area and my dogs are never out of my house without me..EVER. This little one is just a pup and not spayed yet. I think micro chipping is done at the time of spaying. Just saying Quote:
If no owner is found then kudos to you for taking in this little girl. But my heart breaks thinking she may have a family out there who is missing their baby. |

Mine are not chipped for the simple fact that I have read about some bad things happening from chips. Guess that makes me a bad owner also. I am glad this little one is safe for the time being but I am heartbroken for the real owners. I only saw the OP say he had posted on FB unless I missed it. I really don't feel enough has been done to find this pups family. |

I soooo agree!! I find this whole thread unbelievable! I am glad that grumpy is taking care of this baby.. but some of the posts are beyond rude and judgemental. How can we judge the "owners" of this baby and take that as a right to keep this dog? I take pride in being a good doggie mom... not all of my pups are micr chipped (or they werent until they were older) .. if I miss one day brushing their hair they can look horrid. I love my dogs and they are well cared for..better then I care for myself. How DARE some of you make the comments that is so judgemental of something they are unsure of!!! I hope if your pups every get loose or lost and are all messy the person who finds them make more effort then you are advising grumpy to make to find you I am glad grumpy loves this baby and I hope the joy of having this little life is not "tainted" by knowing you did not do what is right and find the owner. I think you will make a wonderful yorkie parent, but as much as you are already in love with this little guy think of how the owners feel now!! |
Grumpy.. I am waiting for an update on how your girl is doing? Did her nipples go down yet...??? |
I just read all the posts today. I can see you are a good person and are trying to the best you can for this little cutie. I hope all goes well for you and her. If it happens she finds her prior home, I wish you well because it will not be easy, once you fall in love. If it turns out she is yours you will not regret having a yorkie. I'm sure since you are on this site, you are seeing that a yorkie will take a chunk out of your pocketbood. They have a lot of dental issues so you have to be prepared for a few hundred annually for cleaning, plus many other thing that will pop up as they age. My little Libby has nails that are too long. They grow so darned fast and she fights me. My husband and I have to do this task together and we fear she will 'break' when we try to hold her still. She is a tiny, thin 3 lb and wiggles like nothing I have ever seen before. A couple months ago when she was having her blood tested I told the assistant as I was handing her to, to go in back for tests to BEWARE! I told her she can wiggle like nothing. She just smiled as if to say 'I've seen every situation, this tiny dog will not be a problem' Well when she came back in with her she said she had never seen anything like Libby. She said, and I thought, this just summed it up to a T.....'She's like a fish out of water'!!!! Now I know how to explain it to people that want to hold her and I have to tell them it isn't really a good idea. She is just a little live wire. God she is soooo darned cute! I am so blessed to have her in my life. Don't have a chip either. BAD MOMMY long nails and no chip! Best wishes and hope to see a post soon! |

Just because a dog is not tagged and chipped doesn't mean the pup was not loved. |

OP- I know this thread was started a few weeks ago but other than Facebook what have you done to try and find the pups owner? Did you contact animal control, local vet offices, shelters, rescues, etc. It seems like you are doing the very best for her. |
Now don't you just love little dogs!:D |
Checking for updates on this little girl. Also was kind of curious if you had her chipped and her nails clipped at her vet visit. Hope she is doing well. |
