| Playing Opera I'm not sure if this is a Yorkie thing (I imagine it is a dog thing in general) but Jarvis just LOVES when I play opera, in particular sopranos of any variety. It calms him down almost immediately and his ears go crazy. He huddles up next to my computer and make his low, smooth happy growl whilst his ears dart up and down. Have you tried opera with your Yorkie? |

| I haven't tried Opera music but thank you for sharing. Opera would be a great addition to my Yorkie's library of music. Yazmin has been suffering from separation anxiety from being alone since I've returned to work recently. Yorkiedaze suggested Harp music and Maximo provided a link with other suggestions that were used to help another dog with anxiety. This is where I read about the Through A Dog's CD's that consist of Piano music. The music Harp and Piano music along with several of the other suggestions from other members has helped with Yazmin's anxiety tremendously! | My Yorkies like, Harp, Opera and Barbra. I also have some Native American wood flute music only no voices, that they enjoy. I play Gospel and that does not calm them, they don't seem to really pause or listen to that.

| The Native American wood flute sounds like a good choice of music but Barbra? Just curios, as in Streisand? I could see how her voice would have a calming effect also. |

| I typically leave the classical music station on when Chad and I are going to be gone for a while. They both love instrumental classical and vocal classics. Zeus doesn't do that adorable thing that Jarvis does though - that sure is cute!!

| I play light classical for Lexie. She really relaxes to it.

| LOL is there any other Barbra when it comes to music ? Yes, I was refering to Streisand. My Hubby is reading over my shoulder and warned I am dating myself. Who cares ? I met Elvis too.

| Georgie is more of a Hip-hop or Reggae kind of guy but he doesn't have much of a choice lol. We usually leave ESPN on when we leave and tell him to let us know who won

| I'm loving all of these musical suggestions. I'll be trying lots of the out. Jarvis loves music in general but I've never seen him react quite as well as he does to opera. |

| Tibbe loves classical though I've never tried opera with him. But the kind of relaxing and soothing classical I love, he does too. Goes into relaxation mode fairly fast when it's on.
