| Red legged Yorkie or possible cross? Hello! I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted - turns out having a puppy, job and starting a new business is harder work than I thought. Phew! Anyway Jarvis is 3 days off 5 months and is adorable, he is so lovable and my little shadow. A few people, including our vet nurse have suggested he might be a red legged Yorkie and I've done a bit of research into it (there isn't a huge amount of information out there, although some fab threads on here) and I think he might be. But then once I'm settled on the idea of him being a possible red legger, I have people ask if he is a Chorkie or Jack Russell mix? He is only just 2kg (4.4lbs) so I don't think he is a Jack Russell - surely he'd weigh a lot more by now? Anyway, sorry for the ramble! I'll attach some photos of the little chappy over the past 6 weeks and I'd love some opinions. I'm on my ipad so I can't make attachments work but here are some links to flickr IMG_7119 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! IMG_7086 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! IMG_6799 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! | Thank you! I think he is the cutest thing I have ever seen. We love him to pieces and he has changed our lives in such a short space of time. The pain from my illness seems to have halved since he has been home. I adore him. |

| He is adorable. I don't see anything really off about his coloring from the photos. Yorkies seem to have quite a selection of colors.

| He is a cutie . Red legged is just a term to say a Yorkie is black and red with a short coat that will not grow very much . My late Maļa was black and red and didn't grow a coat . Needless to say that I loved her for 19 years and it was perfect happiness . |

| My Rubin is a Redleg Yorkie. His coat grows to about 4 or 5 inces and stops. It is black and rust-red. He is ten years old, and weighs about 6 pounds. I think your Yorkie may be a Redleg too. He is very cute.

| I have read that the red legged's coat does not grow very long. Is that as long as your little guy's coat gets? He is so adorable! I would think the coat would be much easier to take care of that way. I think I want one of whatever he is! |

| Thanks! It is lovely to hear from someone who also has a Redleg. When people as what he is and I reply 'yorkie' they look at me like I'm made because he doesn't look like a fluffy teddy bear. |

| It has only grown about 3/4 of an inch, although he grows faster around his face (where he is turning grey) so we've had to trim that but yep, I can see him needing to go to the groomer very often. |

| Red Leg Yes I believe he is a red leg. I have a brother and sister who are red legs. Neither parent was a red leg so obviously there were recessive genes. Their coats are much easier to care for and I love the rust/caramel colors.

| He is adorable. I did a lot of research when Laddy was a pup on redleg yorkies because his gold was more red than gold and your little one looks a lot like the pictures of redlegs.
